Well the Mod overseeing the Scamdy threads has done a great job of cleaning up the crime scene...no evidence of Gruntled's claims of knowing other users IP addresses...he gets to keep his halo he's been given.
Another thing if they really wanted the talk about Scamdy to stop they'd stop it. They remind me of state governments claiming they're raising taxes on cigarettes to get people to stop when we know if they really wanted people to stop they'd make it illegal.
Found Pitt's post to Skinner: Andy is in the car with Ted, and is about 40 minutes away from a computer, so he can't get to your PM with your number for the next little bit. If you can, please call him so the two of you can talk personally and get this (what "this?"/ed.) squared away. He will give you what you need to know to clear this (what "this?") up, and thanks again for handling this so well.

Post 804 on the 4000+ DUFU "Pitt's Lament" thread documents a post to Skinner's DU Panic Room by Jeezy Girl, on Dec. 23, 2004 at 7:29 PM (think eastern time, not sure/ed.)
Jeezy Girl starts post admitting that Skinner "doesn't allow fundraising on DU" but Andy is in trouble and needs help. No mention of illness. Just flat out begging for money and giving Anbdy's paypal account. This is Dec.23, 2004.
One of the sorriest episodes is that on http://www.votepa.us/#anchor11492607 where grandmotherly Marybeth Kuznick begs for money for "an American hero I am proud to call my friend, Andy Stephenson" who is dying of pancreatic cancer and being denied treatment because of no insurance, in a heartless America.
The date on the website is May 24-27; am not sure Mary Beth Kuznick's letter is of the same date.
She asks that donors e-mail "Beth" identifies her as sfexpat on DU, with Beth Ferrari's e-mail address at "Dougzilla" and tell her when you donated and how much.
She identified Beth Ferrari as "the record keeper" for the Andy fundraiser, so "she (Beth) can tell the hospital how much we have raised."
Franksolich's posts #232 and #254 on 05/17...dust-up on paypal. Beth Ferrari orders Steve in Toronto who is contacting Johns Hopkins to "cease and desist." She claims she has reported Steve from Toronto to "my friends on the SFPD."
I just pulled these from a piles being separated on all posts, printed. Really great stuff here. Gardencatz's first pulling together of DU posts, I think was in the "What's Up With Andy" DUFU thread, I think, May 16, and the whole thing takes shape, contradictions, lies,etc., don't alter what is clearly defined in gardencatz's first compilations.
It's all gold. There is a very funny poster who says, "It's gold, I tell ya, gold!" We laugh, because it is funny, but the DUFU Andy threads are the mother-lode, on Excel and in print.
