Okay, now that I've spent some time counting & recounting the asterisks on the checks posted at CU, there do indeed appear to be the same amount on both the original check as well as the customer copy. What gave you the impression that there were different amounts?

If I've missed the memo in which we're supposed to post false info, someone please let me know. I just assumed we didnt' need to do that. Thanks!

Naw, I think they're proud of that. I guess the Mod gets to decide what is off topic. Melissa seems to take the job very seriously. You post what she says or..........she locks down the thread and removes or moves the posts either to never never land or the "dome". Really, really annoying.

I think I'm likely more naive than you. But I'd still never post my own picture online. Glad to see there are a FEW west-coasters still up. Why are there so few Washington people involved in this? There's a fairly high amount of freepers here.

Does FR keep any sort of demographics on the claimed gender of its posters? I do swear, a large majority seem to be female. I have my own opinion as to why, but I'm curious if they keep demos anywhere.

Afraid not. I gave up on CU for the day a few hours ago. That "locking thread for clean up really chaps my hide!

 

I wouldn't worry about it. Guilty dog barks first, and all that.

I don't know-- a few people weren't very nice to me at the beginning here on FR-- but, more than a few people came immediately to my defense & many more pm'd me that I was doing okay & to stay tough. The interesting thing is that I'd been here for a while before this all happened, I just hadn't posted much. I guess it's part of the reality of the online world.

My husband actually told me about FR. he's been reading here for a couple of years but he never signed up. He just reads the articles and gets all the news.

I do all the talking.....now I'm on more than he is!

My husband thinks I'm insane. He reads stuff as time allows with work, but basically, he watches baseball & I'm on here & other message boards looking for what, I don't know. It stems from being in a very blue metropolis & lacking adult interaction in regard to politics. I can't exactly bring up judicial appointments at playgroup around here (nor would I want anyone else to).
