Oh, oh.
"PANIC in the DU Panic Room."
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3753219
Panic about what?
I got too many windows open on this computer, and don't want any more.
Pitt: Unlike your humble slave-creating European farmer ancestors, my family came from Germany, having experienced overall life under der Kaiser and also the Nazis. True oppression is something you wouldn't understand.
The DUmmies were in a panic because of server problems. Turns out they have a backup Yahoo site like FR has.
Server problems. I think they're resolved somewhat. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=announcement&id=161
I signed up for yahoo groups, though, just to see what's up in their panic room, lol - I haven't been 'accepted' yet.
Hey, did you already return from your Norske festival? Hope you got some lefse!
First time in my life I'd ever seen Norwegian food.
But I am going going back there tomorrow too.
That's what I was wondering! IF I'm accepted and find out anything juicy, I'll let you know.
Well, we all know it's not a Karl Rove conspiracy, to have DUmmieland have server problems today--because if Karl Rove were involved, he would've been smart enough to give DUmmieland server problems circa 3:00 p.m. (Nebraska time) April 28.....oh so long ago.
Will Pitt is back on CU right now. Will he take up your challenge?
Showed up, and took off running back to DUmmieland.
Within seconds.
Well, you'll either love lutefisk or hate it. No middle geound. If it shakes like jello - pass! If it's firm, it's cooked correctly. No matter, EVERYONE loves lefse! Simplest way: spread with butter, sprinkle with sugar, roll it up and enjoy. I wouldn't steer you wrong.
Newman Grove, Nebraska, is a nice little town, circa 650 in the rolling hills. Sort of halfway between farm country and cowboy country. The only Norwegian town in Nebraska. I have to go there again tomorrow (Tuesday), because I want to meet the local newspaper editor, a Norwegian from Minnesota. I didn't track her down today, because it's my habit, as you know on Free Republic, to remain modestly inconspicuous.
Private FReepmail to you in a minute re: copy of pulled thread a few days ago.
Don't have to use Freepmail--you've been away for a few days, and didn't know what happened.
It's just that some skirted a little bit too close to the line, and so it was time to reiterate the rules:
(a) no personal information about individuals (i.e., their real identities and circumstances) posted in the DUmmie FUnnies;
(b) no posting of images using DUmmieland wavelength or bandwidth or whatever it is.
Keep the rules in mind, and if you see a violation of it (usually by a newbie), immediately hit the "report abuse" button, so individual comments, rather than an entire thread, can be deleted.
Keep the finger on the "report abuse" button, because we surely don't want this to have to happen again.
Happy Birthday, PJ! Hope it is the best ever--and you get that call from Mary Matalin! The DUmmie FUnnies rock! And they have become so big that I can't keep up, but anywhere I jump in there is enough hilarity to keep me going to the end! Thanks for coming up with this forum! Hope it just keeps getting bigger and bigger!
Read the last DUMMIE ALERT!, just above, madam.
It's a good thing I can do five or six things at once; while waiting for an Andyite to show up, thus far I've managed to clean one closet, scrub the floor of the kitchen, do some laundry, plant some tomatoes.
I assume that by the time an Andyite shows up, this house will be as clean as.....a hospital.
The DUmmie PUnidiot "William Pitt" is back.
Will he answer my challenge?
The DUmmie Punidiot "William Pitt" "private messaging" behind the scenes; still has ignored the challenge.
Time for me to make some more coffee, and perhaps paint the porch, while waiting.
