I have dealt with hospitals somewhat, but no expert. I have a hard time believing that the financial Dept would wait to send out a letter (dated the 20th) to Washington state informing Scamdy that he has no insurance for his surgery date 6 days later.
There would have either been an agreement well before (and obvioulsy not since it has the total amount) or no surgery would have been scheduled at JH. Especially since there is an excellent hospital in WA.

Do we have copies of documents from JH? Maybe I picked the wrong day to be efficient.

That is what really pisses me off about this whole deal....screamin about "national health care" but not willing to do jack to help himself...I don't have insurance...I don't own anything, but I'd damm sure sell what ever I had to to get the help I needed...

Does anyone think that contacting the WA AG regarding if this fundraiser was registered or if it needed to be since collection is over $25,000 is important? Nonkultur and I discussed it on the other dummie thread at post #936 and #937. Some good info on the AG website. Or just let it go.

Also, interesting that they are asking for payment when payment was made on May 10.

I thought someone said that the one making the complaint had to reside in WA. Of course I could have gotten that wrong. :)

I have no problem helping people out who really need it. I have a problem helping scammers like Andy. He has an extremely high opinion of himself for somebody who has never done anything except scam people, including his own family. Breaking rules like using cell phones in the hospital is small potatoes to him. Everybody else should follow rules, except him and his buddies.

I guess I'll restate my offer to meet Andy himself in Seattle, if he is available the week of the 20th of June, and try to clear this up in some ways...

Have to be a resident of the state of Washington, though, to file a complaint.

One would think that JH would have a better financial dept. Of course, they did lose Scamdy's checks and a telegram can't seem to find it's way to a patient there.
You know, this doesn't sound like a very good hospital. heh

Ok...but wouldn't a person be able to file a complaint in their own state??? This did go out nation (world) wide??

You know, I'm going to be real upset when I FTD some flowers to Bev Harris on Thursday, and the florist loses that telegram.

Why would they black out the name of the person to contact if you have any questions? Is it maybe because it's the name of one of the DUmmies, maybe "Miss Waverly"? Seems to me that name would be public because it's on the form. Also why wouldn't they have a bill dated before his supposed first surgery, May 10th. He should have a receipt for that date, not a bill ten days later not even marked paid.

Just looking at the documents provided today on cu I have a couple of observations:
Document number 1 - a grant request
1. Why a grant request in the midst of a fundraiser?
2. It appears white out has been used in several locations and not to redact information. This includes the date, diagnosis and in the signature. The date and diagnosis were written over.
3. Why is the date of surgery written in as the week of the 23rd of May when the document was supposedly faxed on April 28th - when the scheduled surgery date at that time was May 10th.
4. Johns Hopkins is misspelled again - on a medical document?
The second document - demand for up front payment.
1. Why would Johns Hopkins demand full payment when their own guidelines state otherwise.
2. This document is dated May 20th. Wasn't the greedy bloodsuckers paid much earlier?
3. No where on this document does it say what his procedure will be.
These documents are worthless, and contradict many things they have been saying. Just more diversion. This more than solidifies my belief that this is a scam.

There you are. Cig run?
If you send flowers to Bev, be sure not to use a service remotely connected to that telegram!

Why is he being billed for the entire amount when he supposedly paid part of it? it's dumb to black out the name of the doctor and leave all the other info there!
The three stooges could do better!
