You'd have to ask franksolich. I just took it from his post #4253. Sorry.
So-so weather kinda cool, high only gonna be in the low 70's. Very windy this past weekend.
found her ICQ # on her DU profile
Thanks... I think...
Bookmarked
Panera. Speaking of coffee shops in St. Louis, I have three right here within a half-mile of my place (in the Clayton/Skinker-Big Bend area) where I hang out: St. Louis Bread Co., Einstein's, and Kaldi's.
Kaldi's is the one where all the Wash U. ultra-lib types hang out (and where I think one of the requirements of employment is a nose stud), but I still like to sit out on the patio there and drink coffee and read. Sometimes I hear these DUmmie types commiserate and utter their contempt for Bush, etc., like I did Saturday. I just chuckle inside.
Anyhow, today is going to be gorgeous weather, so I think shortly I will be heading over to Kaldi's to study. I've got a Ph.D. Hebrew sight-translation exam coming up on June 8, so I'll be DUFUing less and less over the next couple of weeks, or until I feel I've got it down well enough.
To think that four weeks ago, the then-record had been circa 3,900 "views"--and that the average DUmmie FUnnies garnered circa 1,800 "views."
That average is way out skew now.
I'm curious. Does the number of views increase each time WE refresh the thread or are they unique visitors?
I think the Atlanta Bread Co. is a separate operation. They have really TERRIFIC sandwiches. MUCH better than Subway's. Subway's isn't in the same universe as Atlanta Bread Co.. Great place just to relax. They have high speed internet. Also they have lounge chairs in an adjacent area where you can just sit and relax.
BTW, Andy got into Subways at a bad time. Yeah, Subways used to be a hot franchise but nowadays Quiznos is beating them hands down. Quiznos has much better sandwiches. Near me there used to be a Quizno's and a Subway's almost directly across the street for you. Eventually Subway's had to shut down. They just couldn't compete with the quality of Quizno's. However, Atlanta Bread Co. has the best non-sub sandwich type sandwiches.
Most of the choice comments have now been deleted. There are still a few doozies...

But Michelle Malkin, who first broke this, has a few of the now-deleted comments here:

I never heard of Kaldi's. Atlanta Bread Co. store here seems to have very conservative types as customers. However, I am just judging by the one near me. Might be a different story in other places.
"NORTH CAROLINA PROVING FRUITFUL IN INVESTIGATION OF ACTIVITIES"
You will eventually explain these cryptic messages, won't you?
Thanks for posting that. I've screencapped it just in case it vanishes.
I'm fairly cerrtain that the views increasae every time we refresh or click on the thread.
I was just over at CU and see that someone there copied the posts from Will Pitt's blog before he deleted them all. Just FYI.

I checked that, madam, some months ago, when I was trying to see what makes the now-famous "Norway ping list" work.
It seemed to me that "refreshing" does not add another "view" to the count.
If one reads the story, then goes somewhere else, and then comes back, that is counted as two "views."
But when one "refreshed" the same story, without going elsewhere, it seemed to me the "view" count did not change.
I could be wrong, but this is what I observed, in tinkering with the now-famous "Norway ping list," to ascertain which stories attract readers, and which repel.
Of course these "messages" will be explained.....although I have the sense that most, if not all, will already have them figured out long before I "explain" them.
This is sort of like a pancreatic operation in a hospital, madam; one is not quite sure how it will turn out, until it has turned out. Inbetweentimes, one is "guided" by random evidence of what is wrong.
