Aha.
That's the post where DUmmiette "sfexpat2000" clearly and explicitly states Andy has pancreatic cancer.
Can someone look at the dates of Termite saying Andy is gonna have the gall bladder excised and the dates on the bills?
By the way as a Biology teacher (many yrs ago) I know what volvox is.
Funny you should ask volvox. My hubby had his gallbladder removed last year-- here in Seattle (but not at Swedish). It'll take me a while to dig up the info. Also, we're insured (because my husband actually WORKS for a living), so it may be different because of that. At least you'll get a ballpark figure.
Why work? He's got money coming in and doesn't even have to
break a sweat for it. Just has to work up a pity puss story.
He's the lowest of the low.

Oh, and as an added update on that-- I DO remember one thing. Our charges (co-pay) alone were well over $1000. Well, maybe not "well over", but over.
I do the hotlinks the easy way if they don't show up on the preview. Open up a new window, go to the site then cut and paste from the address bar into your post. Probably isn't the most efficient way but it does work!
Haven't seen it posted on DU as "John" Hopkins, instead of the correct Johns Hopkins. Thanks, Krodg.
I can't believe (actually I can) that nobody at the DUmp didn't question him then. Let me see, the DUmmy Andy is supposedly having life saving and difficult surgery on a Tuesday and by Friday of that same week he's well enough to run up to New Jersey. I'm not sure you'd even be out of the hospital by then. To me this proves he knew there was know surgery scheduled for the 10th and the checks were never lost at JH.

Leave it to Seattle Weekly to do a puff piece on her. The picture of Andy in there is ripe for someone to Photoshop though. Good find, Cherokee.
$100 per day is probably a low estimate. My son and I tried to figure out how much Disney made per day and we used a low estimate of $200 per day, per person including tickets, food and souvenirs.
Of course, Disney has huge overhead, which Andy does not.
I found this at CU...

28. I talked to Andy briefly yesterday, and he told me he was on the way to
the hospital to have his gall-bladder out. Anyone know anything more?
Maybe they're dealing with a very, very smart tumor who has read Lao Tzu? The tumor, after all, is fighting for it's very existence.
I'm surprised there aren't liberal "rights" groups for diseases. And adjunct to PETA or the World Wildlife Fund.
Ok - THANKS! I still have a problem when I already have HTML code within a post. Still learning after all these years. For instance - say I post a photo, or use italics. That's when I can't get a hot link/hyperlink to work. I have the code +++a href+++ but I can't get to work yet. Like I said, I'm still learning.
Okay, here are the totals from my husband's gallbladder surgery:
anesthesialogist (spelling wrong, I'm sure)-- $638
surgeon-- $2897
Pathology-- $81
Hospital Costs itself ("pharm services, supplies, lab, room)-- $3215
Total cost of gallbladder removal-- $6831

I need somebody to "photoshop" an image--the television star Andy preferred--of Andy behind bars, for use later.
Just take a look at Skinner's pic. He is supposedly a man but he looks just like some gawkey, goofy kid.
