thanks.
As commonguy said eariler this is important.
Fly has posted that her husband's boss helped get Andy into Hopkins. Here's a post giving her first name...
Thank you so ! NMRed (none / 0)
Your support is greatly appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart !
John Hopkins is a great Hospital for this type of surgery, not many places do the "whipple" surgery procedure.
My friend Arlene did some sweet talking with her husband's boss and he talked to John Hopkins for Andy.
Then came the fund raising !
We still have a way to go but we will make it happen.
Very soon Andy will have the surgery and treatment he needs and has to have to live.
Thank you to all who are helping, Andy.

thanks.
Ok.. here I was eating my supper and see you say for the umpteenth time that you favor socialized medicine. I'm not going to threadjack here, so at some point in another thread I would like to know what brought you to this point of view.
There was another one that said she "helped" Andy get into
JH too.Her name was Liberal nurse. Saw that on some blog
dated in Feb.
What caused him to change his mind about getting surgery done in Seattle? He was fine with that until April 20th didn't work out and got moved to May 2. Why the sudden switch to JHH?...and so quickly. Wasn't the May 10th surgery scheduled at JH? Maybe it was just a way to keep the fund raiser going longer.

Rebellion, youth, peer pressure.
A friend of mine made me angry in November, telling everyone they needed to get out and vote for Kerry. I asked her, what does Kerry stand for? What does he represent?
"Progressiveness!" was the best she could come up with.
I would like to think that even if I were a liberal, I wouldn't be suckered by a fat, evil conman like Michael Moore, but apparently all that is needed to fool young people these days is slick, MTV-style editing.
I believe there never was a May 10th surgery date. I think they came up with that date because the money wasn't coming in fast enough. So they told the DUmmies that he needed the money by May 10th or he couldn't have the surgery. People started sending more money in then.
If Andy claims he is unemployed, then why is he listed as education director at voteusa.org? Also, does anyone know where Andy worked as a telephone salesman? I found a quote
by an Andy Stephenson at a company in Dec. 2004.
I think you may be right. Remember the post from Undie on Monday, May 9th saying he'd be in Baltimore til Friday then off to New Jersey? That tells me he knew he would not be having surgery the following day.
Sorry. That would be votetrustusa.org
That makes sense. To me it looks like the constant date changes and hospital jumping are just greed. If there are a lot of players, you need enough to go around.
Excellent point. Wicken cat or kitten or something had a nice collage of many of the dunderheads and ding dongs.
I got to do something on the level for an hour - will be back.
Gotta square up on the posts upon my return......
That information appears to be a "public relations" glossing-over, much as resumes sometimes have "little lies" in them.
Andy was a member of the labor union for telephone-cable television repairmen; he was one of those guys in uniforms who dashed around town fixing telephones--in fact, he was even an officer in that union.
This is one thing that perplexes me; Andy was in that job for a long time, helping distressed housewives get their telephones and televisions back into working order, and apparently did pretty good at it.
But then he threw it all overboard.
I mean, he had all these union wages, all these union benefits, including health insurance that surely would cover his ailments.....he was well-liked as a repairman, and seemed to like the job himself.....but then he threw it all overboard.
Why?
If Andy had just stayed with the telephone company in Seattle, he could right now be looking for a comfortable and secure retirement circa ten years hence, during which time he and the DUmmie "termite" could grow old and fat(ter), sitting in ease on the front porch of their house in Seattle, gabbing with neighbors, watching the world.
< AND email me because I'm doing the math and haggling with the hospital: info@dougzilla.com Any amount is heartily appreciated. +++
Sorry this isn't hotlinked. Cut and paste URL.
If someone could clue me in how to hot link, when HTML is already within a post, I'd appreciate it. I tried this from my notes--didn't work.
