At last! I've made the big time! I am a "journalist", after all.

It has been my dream since childhood to be a "journalist" and today the multinational news conglomerate Solich Media Empire, Worldwide, Inc. has deigned to give me the big break I have been seeking for lo these many years by posting one of my thorough and insightful news reports on the Andy Alert!™ here at FR News. Thank you, Mr. Solich. Thank you all. Surely I will get that job at Truthout.org now!

You know, I had a feeling that this was going to bring down DU, but ironically, it was not AndyScam that did it, but Skinner and his inept handling of the whole thing.

Hmmmm.... Nothing NEW about Andyscam Scandal in DUmmieland. However, if I post a new DUFU edition on another subject, everybody will post about AndyScam so why bother with another edition right now. Will play it by ear and see what shakes out tomorrow. Whatever happens BIG THINGS will be happening by the 26th when Scamdy is supposed to have his "pancreatic cancer" operation. Oh, and don't be too surprised if THAT operation is postponed.

I also like keeping this edition up a while longer because I know it IRKS the hell out of Pied Piper Pitt. It reminds him of his many U-Turns on this topic.

I am a former member of DU, although my departure had nothing to do with this incident. I feel strongly enough about this whole Andy affair, that I'd like to put my two cents in.

First, I am for socialized medicine. I do have some conservative views too, before anyone freaks. However, I feel Andy has really done a great disservice to the liberal cause. My biggest beef are the sins of omission, which resulted in many people giving, who were not in a position to do so. How someone like him can be an activist and complain about lack of national health insurance, yet reject the care he could have been provided through the state, is beyond me. Additionally, for every person that donated to his cause, I am sure they are thrilled to see him staying at fancy hotels and flitting all over the country for functions.

I am a liberal. In spite of this, if I were in his shoes...1) I would not have been able to ask for money knowing full well care was available to me at fine facilities in WA 2) I would have not felt it necessary to stay at fancy hotels on someone else's dime or flit from state to state on someone else's dime, 3) I sure as heck would not have spent my time talking to a couple of people on conservative boards, while remaining silent to those on DU which have made this possible.

His behavior is morally reprehensible to me, and almost enough to make me not want to be a liberal (almost, but not quite).

I hope he does not have pancreatic cancer, however, the people who donated to his cause deserved the TRUTH, in order to make the decision as to whether to part with their money. They did not have the TRUTH.

Case closed...not for me!! It doesn't matter to me what you and your friends find, I know what I was told. When I called today to verify that the check for $25,000 had cleared the bank, she remembered me! Why?? because I was honest, gave her all of my info and told her my concerns. My info doesn't fit Andy's agenda and gets tossed aside.

This is by no means over. There is still a lot out there that does not link up. There may still be something wrong with the handling of the checks. I only posted the info given to me. Out of curiosity, what is your issue with the checks?

UNBELIEVABLE! Earlier this evening I visited a friend of mine at his video store. He was late so while I was waiting I mentioned to his business partner about the DUFUs. He wanted to see the blog so I gave him the URL and he went there. Now keep in mind that this guy is an East Indian from Trinidad and he has almost no interest in politics. GUESS WHAT? He read this edition over at BlogSpot.Com and was CRACKING up. I mean he was laughing so hard even I was laughing even though I was already familiar with the material. I mean he was desk pounding, tears down the cheeks LAUGHING!!!

This was a very PLEASANT revelation. It means that folks not interested in politics nor even from an American culture will STILL find the DUFUs FUnnie!

I am now ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that a DUmmie FUnnies book (with CD-ROM insert for related comix stories) would be a HUGE hit. Mary Matalin---LET'S DO LUNCH!!!!!!!

Welcome. I think it's horrible that he could have gotten surgery for free in his own home state and the money that was given to him could have gone to someone who might really have needed it. I also can't believe that someone who is so sick that they need immediate surgery can spend so much time running around. It does not make sense. I think we just really want to know the truth.

well - we won't bite. glad some over yonder see this for what it is.

Hard to politicize his plight as a platform for socialized medicine when he demands the best for himself and had the opportunity for free care in WA. Even if it is a hangnail, sty in the eye, or pig poke on a stick.

He demands disclosure from voting officials, but is a hypocrite in offering no disclosure for his personal fundraising.

Awfully fishy to me.

I hope you realize, Speed, that I never said you were the bad guy here. In the post you wer responding to I just clarified the who's who of the two females you previously referenced, 1) your girlfriend and 2) the FReeper who checked on the checks, with whom you and I both spoke on the phone the other day.

I still have a hard time believing Bev was a scammer in the same way the AndryCrew may be... She has a non-profit 501 C thingie (?) that has at least hopefully Some Accountability when fundraising. What does Andy have:
'O, I had dinner with him once!, I can vouch for him!' good grief.

and too, I think DU went all crazy when Bev made some accusations against Democrats doing the vote scam as well. 'O No, democrats Would Never Do That!, burn the Witch!!'.

I really wasn't around when all that stuff hit the fan on DU so I have some catching up to do and just shooting from the lip here.

It's very worrisome for me, this adventure of hers. She's only 19! and went all alone! but she's having such a good time so I'm between despair and delight.

That has to be the most story I've ever seen in one sentence.

Which story? The one about how we tossed a drunken Jehovah's Witness into a motel room so he could barf on himself in peace? Or another story?

I have never met a member of FR. Until yesterday I had not even spoken to one even on the phone. The funny thing is, I did meet a DUmmie a few days ago. I have known her for a while, but did not think she was a true Dummie. She works for the Highway Department and I have a contract detailing and servicinf their trucks.

I happened to have Frank's "Dummie Alert" up on my computer when the DUmmie came in. "You should leave that guy alone."
She said. I thought it funny.
