It seems there will be no discussion allowed anymore on the Andy situation. Until there is, I think I'm gonna step away from DU and forget about making any donations to DU in the current fund drive. Congrats to all who alerted on Will and got this shut down. Mighty patriotic of you all to support free speech. I guess we have more than one version of kool aid making the rounds out there and we at DU aren't immune to it.

You should see the emails I got from one of the main characters in this drama! He/She actually contacted me when I posted in jest that someone should make try for a deal. I can't reveal who it is, but he/she is going to bring this all down. They wanted to know what prison is like since I spent some time there and what their best course of action should be.

I explained to him/her about the federal sentencing "safety valve." Open to first time offenders in Federal Cases that gives you way less time than madated by the madatory minimums. But it involves cooperating and testifying AND, being the first to cut a deal in a conspiracy. With the safety valve, the first one to get to the US Attorney wins.

I finally went to DUmmieland. I wanted to see for myself.

I went to the lounge where all the action is supposed to be happening and all I see is a bunch of inane chatter about StarWars and avatars.

If I ever think someone is posting a petty thread on FR, I'll keep my visit to DU in mind.
