ELECTED OFFICIALS:
The following is from Republican National Coalition for Life (RNCL)
Fax Notes, May 20,2002.
Could Honest Polling Have Saved Terri Schiavo? During the tragic and horror-filled weeks leading up to Terri Schiavo's death due to government sanctioned starvation and dehydration, public opinion polls indicated support for removal of her feeding tube.
The media repeatedly said that Terri was in a "persistent vegetative state," which clearly, she was not. A person in a persistent vegetative state doesn't cry and show other emotion, or try to communicate with those around her, which Terri did until she was too weak to do anything but plead for help with her eyes.
The media's opinion polling questions, which generally gave a skewed if not blatantly false impression of Terri's condition, insured that respondents, under the impression that it would be in Terri's interest, would respond favorably to withdrawal of nutrition and hydration.
After her death, the Zogby organization did a poll (April 5, 2005) revealing that 80% of Americans do not support denying food and water to a disabled person who is not terminally ill and has no written directive. The same poll also finds that by over a 3 to 1 margin, Americans want elected officials to order a feeding tube to remain in place if there is conflicting testimony surrounding the case.
Finally, the Zogby poll shows that by a slight margin, respondents want the federal government to intervene when disabled people are denied food and water by a state court judge's order.
When the American people have the facts, they usually come up with the right decision. In Terri's case, media reports were distorted and biased in favor of killing her. Terri was not terminally ill. She was not dying. She had parents and other family members who loved her and wanted to care for her.
Had the facts been presented honestly and fairly and the pollsters asked questions based on truth, would her "husband," and his lawyer been successful in conniving with Judge George Greer who ordered that she would die? Would Terri still be alive? Think about it.
Elected Officials, you had the correct facts, and failed us.
INVESTIGATIONS AND IMPEACH GREER, OR BE IMPEACHED.

Very accurate. Terri never should have died. I'm still upset about it, as we all are.
Was just discussing this yesterday. I think it would have made a HUGE difference. Even if events had occurred exactly the same up until the point when we were praying for Jeb (or George) to rescue Terri, honest polls would most likely have given them the courage to so so.
Honest polls might have pressured Judge Greer to do the right thing, but Judge Greer is so evil, I don't think so.
That's "to do so."
Greer has no conscience and no shame.
Judge Greer lost his friends and his church. All the pressure on him to do the right thing did not matter to him. He wanted Terri dead and he got what he wished!
Great article from the Republican National Coalition for Life! The following is from the article-->
"" Had the facts been presented honestly and fairly and the pollsters asked questions based on truth, would her "husband," and his lawyer been successful in conniving with Judge George Greer who ordered that she would die? Would Terri still be alive? Think about it. ""
I'm still so angry with the MSM for their out right distortion of the truth concerning Terri. The disgusting Polls they used to prove public support for Killing Terri was nothing but evil. The author of the RNCL article, asks a valid question. Of course we'll never know the answer. The MSM had no interest in the truth, but rather pushed the euthanasia agenda. Nice huh.. :( :(
I just did some reading at THE EMPIRE JOURNAL. Their coverage is amazing. I'm so grateful they are still busy getting the facts out for Terri and her family. I read an interesting paragraph from one of the articles today. It said if the Schindler's request for a divorce for Terri, would have been filed in Orlando, instead of filing it in Judge Greer's court, Terri's life might have been saved. That makes me so sad.
Also I read another article about Scott, the injured man whose wife may try and kill him by starvation/dehydration, in Jacksonville. It mentioned hair samples being tested for toxins. It's unbelieveable that a spouse can possibly cause the injuries and then use the court to finish the job.
I hope justice will prevail in the Jacksonville case and his mother will continue to have guardianship. Does anyone know if there are any current threads on the case?
Thanks again, FV, for all you do here at FreeRepublic. You're the bestest~!!!!! :) :)
" Judge Greer lost his friends and his church. "
Hall, I really doubt Greer cares. I think his friends are people like Felos and those who lavished him with ridiculous awards. He could care less about his church and the people there, imo.
There are many people who regularly attend church for show only - Wolves in Sheeps clothing.
Will someone put me on the ping list?
Ping list for what?
Republican Executive Committee Members Ask Randall Terry to Unseat Florida State Senator Jim King in 2006 Republican Primary Public Defender James Purdy (elected 2004, presiding over four counties in Florida) joins call for Terry's candidacy.
To: National Desk
Contact: Kathryn Wells of Randall Terry's office, 904-819-9450, 904-687-9804 cell
JACKSONVILLE, Fl., May 25 /Christian Wire Service/ -- In three separate press conferences throughout Florida's Eighth Senate District, Public Defender James Purdy and Republican Executive Committee member Kay Durden will publicly urge Randall Terry to become the next State Senator from District 8.
Details on Thursday, May 26, Press Conferences---
When & Where:
--9 AM, in Jacksonville, at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel, 245 Water Street
--11:30 AM, in St. Augustine, at the St. Augustine Plaza Gazebo (Between Cathedral Place and King Street)
-- 1:30 PM, in Daytona Beach, at the Hampton Inn Daytona Speedway/Airport, 1715 W. International Speedway Blvd.
Who: Randall Terry, Public Defender James Purdy, Republican Executive Committee Member Kay Durden, and other members of the Republican Executive Committee
Why: State Senator Jim King has alienated a substantial force within the Republican base by his positions and voting record. For example, King killed the medical tort reform proposed by Governor Bush; King is viewed as "in the pocket" of trial lawyers; King fought Governor Bush's budget; he voted to increase the state budget, and sought tax increases; he is pro-choice; after overwhelming Republican victories in the Florida legislature, he gave key Committee Chairmanships and Vice Chairmanships to liberal Democrats; he has offered special rights to homosexuals; and finally, Jim King helped defeat the bill that would have saved Terri Schindler-Schiavo from starvation.
Many members of the Republican Executive Committee have long sought for a candidate who could defeat Jim King and give the residents of the Eighth District the representation they want and deserve in Tallahassee.
In Jacksonville, Mr. Purdy and Mrs. Durden will be joined by over 10 members of the Republican Executive Committee who are asking Mr. Terry to run against Jim King.
Mr. Terry has been a nationally known public advocate for social conservative causes for the past 20 years. Most recently, Mr. Terry served as the media coordinator and frequent spokesman for the Schindler family during the battle to save Terri Schindler Schiavo from starvation.
"I've known Randall Terry for two years; I believe Randall would make a great State Senator to represent the people of my circuit." -- James Purdy, Esq., Public Defender of Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida; covers all of Volusia, Flagler, Putnam, and St. John's Counties.
"Randall Terry is like Ronald Reagan - witty, kind hearted, articulate, and courageous. Not since Reagan's campaign have I been this excited about a potential candidate." -- Kay Durden, Republican Executive Committee member; former Campaign Coordinator for Ronald Reagan's Presidential primary in Northeast Florida, 1980. (Which President Reagan won because of Kay's hard work!)
End of Press Release
FV says: OUST JIM KING, Duval County!
The runaway bride who didn't kill anybody has been indicted and Judge George Greer is free as a bird. This is why the GOP should be concerned about their party. George Greer committed judicial homicide and they GOP bowed to his lawlessness.
I think that Jesus thinks it's time for Jim King to retire. (that's how King talks - uses the name of Jesus to justify his actions).

I contacted a number of media celebrities, including some of the following, like Gordon Liddy. I thought Gordon Liddy would help with a military man.
Trouble is, they get so many e-mails they don't have time to read them all. If anybody is a good talker, and would like to call a talk show, that might help.
If you don't like to talk, maybe if a bunch of us contact some of these, our e-mails would be read. I try to put a catchy subject line to get them to read it.
