You didn't say where you are from. NJ has a very large number of Biotech firms. If you are truly interested in "freelance" I'd suggest contacting advertising departments of Trade Publications. They can do a lot of your "legwork" for you in they have a handle on "clusters" of smaller firms who may not have bilingual employees and would prefer to "outsource" individual projects. They also usual have a very good idea for ad layout. Just keep in mind, they are in business to sell you ads, but if this is the way you want to go, this isn't a bad thing. Their repeat sales are based on satisfied advertisers.

Talking of NJ Biotech translation needs, most Pharma media, (inserts, packaging, trade show materials, pamphlets, ads, physician education manuals, etc.) are produced in NJ.
