NOW President Testifies Before FDA on Danger of Silicone Breast Implants

Finally, there is something upon which the NOW and I can agree. Props to the NOW for promoting a pro-woman position. (Although I do believe the press release could have been written in a more objective manner.)

"Will the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approve the general use of a product -- silicone gel-filled breast implants -- that has not been proven safe for long-term use? The FDA must not allow women to fall victim to the greed of two companies, Inamed Corp. and Mentor Corp., that want to bring these implants back to the open market without protecting women's health..."

This is unexpected for me too- having never agreed with any position taken by NOW til today.

Why is NOW against letting women decide for themselves? I thought NOW was pro-choice.

Has NOW OK'd this with Hollywood female liberals who frequent plastic surgeons?

How will the transgendered enhance themselves?

What do the Sex Workers Unions think about this?

NOW ? I thought they disbanded ? They were nowhere to be found when Terri was dying.
