"He wrote speeches for Stevenson, when Nixon was president?"

No, before Nixon became president.

The man I was talking about (the one on Nixon's enemy list) was Stevenson's main speechwriter. His name is Franken. He had wanted Stevenson to take a stance against the Vietnam war in his presidential bid. Stevenson did not give an anti-Vietnam speech, nor did he take a anti-Nam stance. Humphrey took an anti-Vietnam position and was chosen as the democratic presidential candidate. How Mr Franken and his spouse ended up on Nixon's list, I do not know. But I do know it was for his position against the Vietnam war.

Ummmmmmmm...this man is telling you lies. THERE WAS NO VIETNAM WAR,NOR AMERICAN PRESSENCE IN VIETNAM,WHEN ADLAI RAN FOR PRESIDENT!

There was the Indochina stuff, but the French were fighting that and beaten badly.

Are you aware of just WHEN and against WHOM Adlai Stevenson ran for president against? It was Ike. TWICE.We're talking about '52 and '56. THE VIETNAM WAR,IN 1952,WITH AMERICAN INVOLVEMENT? ROTFLOL
