"I hear that stuff (Amurula from South Africa) /is dangerous to your eyes - it causes glaucoma, among other eye ailments."

You are wrong. This is a well kept secret that it helps glaucoma and other eye ailments.

USDA strikes again. They have been using this stuff in Africa for over 500 years. The stuff grows wild but now they are farming it.

The US just authorized it to be sold in USA. That tells you something.

I'd stay away from this wild and unknown Amurula herb.

Have also read that some people with diabetes boiled it and drank the liquid with catastrophic consequences. I'm no doctor, just what I've read since my mother has glaucoma and diabetes. She injects herself with insulin to control her diabetes.

Where are you getting this tripe from,or are you making it up as you go along? LOL

I know for an absolute fact, that you could buy a bottle of Amarula six years ago,in CHICAGO.

And no,500 years ago, nobody was making Amarula in South Africa! The name of the liquor is AMARULA,which is made from the FRUIT ...MARULA!

Five hundred years ago,the Hottentots and the Bushmen were the ONLY people wandering around where these trees grow and they most assuredly were NOT making liquor from these fruits.IT'S A FAIRLY NEW PRODUCT and blacks never used it.
