pre thought-out plan
I have been thinking very hard on that question--and I think the answer (which was mentioned briefly in _one_ post over there) is the Compromise of 1877.
I would encourage folks to get up to speed on that little piece of history.
The strategy would be to extract compromises or concessions out of the Republicans by any means they can--negotiation, blackmail, protests, riots, you name it.
I think the WH is already out in front on this issue, however. They have the GAO investigating fraud which we know will find more Rat fraud than Republican fraud. The FBI is already investigating voter fraud and has already arrested Democrats in two states--you can google news search for details on that.
So the message to any Samuel Tilden Democrats is--no compromise--no blackmail--no deal.

This is starting to remind me of the 1972 Olympic men's basketball gold medal game. The officials kept giving the Soviets chances to win until they finally did.
