Friday DUlusion?
Democratic Underground | 12/10/04

Posted on 12/10/2004 4:07:45 AM PST by NRA1995

Call me whacky but I just read Mark Crispin Miller's report from OH (link below) and if OHIO keeps gaining momentum, I want Al Gore to be the face on COUNTING THE VOTES. Who better? Not Kerry like some keep pushing here. Al gave a great speech a few months ago. He has kept a super low profile. He is not running for office. As a former VP, he has boo-koo clout. It would be sweet poetic justice. Thoughts?

I'm out of the loop with this one. They STILL believe Kerry has a shot? ROFLMAO!

When a football team loses a game they can do one of two things:

1. They can look at the game film to find out what they did wrong and try to fix their problems before the next game.

OR THE DEMOCRATIC WAY

2. They can look at the game film and point to all the penalties the refs didn't call against the other team thus convincing themselves that they didn't really get beat by the other team.

Kerry will have to wait. First, some federal judge needs to "reinstate" Al Gore as the actual president, roll the calendar back to the year 2000, and declare the 21st Century a "do-over".

"As a former VP, he has boo-koo clout"

If this twit is going to use a Cajun French expression, he should at least learn how it is correctly spelled (beaucoup).

They'd rather have Cheney as President? Then again they'll probably go after him and then Hastert etc...

I'm reminded of Hitler in the last days of WWII issuing orders to non-existant units to counterattack.

We should keep in mind that Gore damn near won the 2000 election. That's above and beyond what Kerry did.

I pray to God that Gore runs for President in 2008. Can you see him and Hillary in a debate!

I think groups like this and Democrats in general are attempting to create the illusion that Republicans are fraudulent. By characterizing Republicans as fraudulent these groups hope to deflect attention from their own acts of fraud.

I think you may both be partially right.

The DUers seem to me to be a mix of cynical operatives, mostly of the union sort, and the vulnerable worker bee drama queens. While the DNC, per se, isn't running them and probably has no control, they may see the anger and delusional convictions as preferable to the apathy that enveloped the left after Reagan's first win.

The calmer heads on the left are discussing how to change their vocabulary and presentation in order to fool the *centrists* who they believe were *unfairly captured* by the RNC. By taking advantage of the hatred they created after 2000, they can run to the right of the Progressives without having to disown them publicly.

I bet there are discussions on this inside the DLC, though. They may have decided to cut the nutters loose. They may want to let them create a Progressive Party, which will get them out of the left coalition within the DNC and allow the DLC to take over, looking moderate.

It is to our benefit that the left continues to attack those who support the POTUS. How many voters will respond to being insulted for years more by switching positions on the major issues?

That said, we cannot become complacent.

I was referring more to the Ohio ballot count and those involved. I do think the DNC is controlling that and the DU'ers take on that.

What the heck kind of word is that? Does this DUmmie mean "beaucoup" perhaps? Geez, learn the French if you want to think and act like them, and please stop murdering EVERY language you come in contact with

Is this a perfect example of one of those highly-educated, superior, intellectuals we keep hearing about?

Guess they're just too smart for us yokels.

ROTFLMAO

What sane generals were left then tried to make their way west to surrender to the Americans or the British. I wonder if some moderate Dems will be doing a similar thing in the not to distant future.

The question is who's going to drive out whom? Will the DUmmies drive out the DLC or vice versa?
