Friday DUlusion?
Democratic Underground | 12/10/04

Posted on 12/10/2004 4:07:45 AM PST by NRA1995

Call me whacky but I just read Mark Crispin Miller's report from OH (link below) and if OHIO keeps gaining momentum, I want Al Gore to be the face on COUNTING THE VOTES. Who better? Not Kerry like some keep pushing here. Al gave a great speech a few months ago. He has kept a super low profile. He is not running for office. As a former VP, he has boo-koo clout. It would be sweet poetic justice. Thoughts?

I don't think the DUmmies are being controlled by the democrats. I think the democrats created the DUmmies but have long since lost control of them. I wouldn't be suprised if the democrats are kind of afraid of the DUmmies at this point, they're splitting the party.

Furthermore, according to elections law, ANY re-count had to be COMPLETED by December 7, 2004 to have ANY effect on Election 2004.

Keep it up DUmmies and you won't be able to get a candidate elected to ANY national office.

Check the Congress and Senate... There's a dang good reason people are voting for Republicans. The people spoke. Deal with it...!!!

How long are these people willing to keep this up? Until Bush is sworn in for his second term? Some of these folks seriously need some professional help.

State of denial is an understatement...they are delusional.

They think Kerry is going to Iraq next month (take into account that next month is January and the Inauguration is the 20th), so that he can plan his strategy for when he becomes President after the Ohio recount shows him the winner.

The sad thing is that a large number of DUers actually believe that any day now the Ohio vote will somehow flip to Kerry, they can't manage to "find" 49 votes in Washington state to elect the democrat governor, but somehow they think they are going to "discover" 119,000 votes in Ohio for Kerry.

For the mental well being of our "friends" at DU I have kindly created a knockoff of the 5 stages of grief to help them through this difficult time...

Denial (Kerry really won the election! Any day now I will wake up and find out that the vote in Ohio has switched to Kerry!)

Anger (WHY DID WE NOMINATE THAT LOSER KERRY, I KNEW WE SHOULD HAVE NOMINATED HOWARD DEAN !! HOW COULD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE VOTE FOR BUSH?! LETS FORM OUR OWN NATION OR MOVE TO CANADA!!)

Bargaining (Oh Great Gaia/Spirit of Chairman Mao/Quartz energy Crystal etc. I promise I'll be a better liberal if the results of the election are reversed and Bush is removed from office...)

Depression (I don't care anymore, I use to think everbody agreed with me, now I feel just useless, ignored and unloved... Even my tree won't hug me, my liberal friends won't admit they voted for Kerry and conservatives just laugh at me. Like, real bummer to my self esteem man...)

Acceptance (Yes Mrs. Clinton, I would be HAPPY to start working on your 2008 Campaign...)

"I think the democrats created the DUmmies but have long since lost control of them. I wouldn't be suprised if the democrats are kind of afraid of the DUmmies at this point..."

Is this beginnning to sound and look like a real bad sci-fi movie to them (or perhaps it would be classified as horror)? I almost feel guilty for having such fun at these fools expense... I said "almost".

The more faces on this Ohio thing the better. Right now, Jesse Jackson is the face on it and he looks every bit the damn fool he is. This "challenge" or "recount" or whatever you want to call it has no credibility at all. Jackson is only seeking money (as he always does) and the rest are a bunch of left wing radicals who will try to do what they always do .... find an activist judge to circumvent the democratic process. I love to watch these idiots self-destruct!

Do you get the feeling a lot of these DU folks were very spoiled as kids. Their parents never told them "No" so they just can't accept not getting their way?

The more time Jesse Jackson spends in Ohio the less chance the Dems have or carrying the state in 2008.

The democrats gave the DUmmies the gift of self justification. Everytime I look at DU postings I see comments that say that laws and rules no longer apply to them because they say republicans are worse.

Read it yesterday.....treasonous, actually.....perhaps a short stay at Abu Grhaib?

I don't know...the DUmmies might be a bad influence on the terrorists who are currently languishing at Abu Ghraib.

Call me whacky

You're whacky.

I just read Mark Crispin Miller's report from OH

This does not refute my assertion that you are whacky.

if OHIO keeps gaining momentum

The election was 5 weeks ago. Kerry lost. It was in all the papers.

I want Al Gore to be the face on COUNTING THE VOTES.

Who's Al Gore?

Who better? Not Kerry like some keep pushing here.

See? This is your basic problem. None of you EVER WANTED KERRY FOR ANYTHING. You just hate Bush. You don't even want Kerry to be the face of the Kerry campaign. And you call BUSH an empty suit?

Al gave a great speech a few months ago.

Was that to the traffic cop?

He has kept a super low profile.

Have you SEEN Al Gore lately? Sumo wrestlers are turning to one another saying "get a load of the blimp!"

He is not running for office.

Now WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? Could it be that nobody wants to elect a stinkin' whiner to ANYTHING?

As a former VP, he has boo-koo clout.

Just ask Dan Quayle.

It would be sweet poetic justice.

The poetic justice would come later, when Democrats are forever tarred as the party of the sore losers who can't ever accept the idea that some people disagree with them.

Thoughts?

Not really. I'd characterize them more as "ramblings".

I'd say separation from reality. They think that any who disagree with them are either stupid or evil, and hence if the election didn't come out as they wished, obviously it is due to fraud. I just hope that the DUnderheads persist in their delusion, and that 2004 is the last desperate gasp of the Democratic Party.

You think they'll give up then? That's when they want the impeachment proceedings to begin.
