That is just silly. The best way for Bush to prove Kerry isn't up to the job is TO DEBATE him and ask Kerry directly about his anti-defense record of the past twenty years. After that debate we can then put this election to bed (unfortunately the DUer's will be fighting for the next four years). For Bush to say he won't debate is arrogant. That is Kerry's expertise, not Bush's.

I agree and there is simply no way for Bush to refuse to debate without his refusal becoming the new focal point of the campaign.

The one thing I think SHOULD change is the traditional practice of letting all liberal media and voter's organizations set the debates up and run them. This time, Bush should not have to endure the usual built in bias that always seeks to give the Democrat the advantage. I hope he insists on a more level playing field for a change. While it would have been hard to make one before, the recent network news scandal and the alternative news choices means we don't have to keep playing the same one sided games with these people.
