I have some friends there that I went to see, must have been about 3 years ago. There were a lot of changes, but I could still find my way around fairly easily. There was a new bypass there out near Martinez that threw me off a bit. That whole area has built up a lot.

Augusta is now the second largest city in GA. Downtown went the way of most inner cities for a while. But it has made a huge recovery. There are many new businesses downtown.

I think it will recover very nicely. There are big changes in the works for entertainment and sports.

The CSRA has done well during the recession. And beside the inner city dims, this area is very Republican. Our county center is on Ronald Regan Way. It does give great messages for the few dims in our county.
