A little clarification:
Muscadines are a rich dark purple.(also referred to as bullis?)
Scuppernongs are of a golden hue.
They both exist in regions the South in great abundance.
I went to school in Augusta. It used to be Augusta College, now Augusta State University.
Doing great. The new job is keeping me busy so I don't get to be here as much as I used to.
You're most welcome for the bumper sticker.
Is it written on an etch- a- sketch?
You would be surprised at the changes to downtown. Downtown has really recovered and looks really nice.
I guess I would need a time frame to catch you up on the changes since you left Augusta.
I have some friends there that I went to see, must have been about 3 years ago. There were a lot of changes, but I could still find my way around fairly easily. There was a new bypass there out near Martinez that threw me off a bit. That whole area has built up a lot.
Augusta is now the second largest city in GA. Downtown went the way of most inner cities for a while. But it has made a huge recovery. There are many new businesses downtown.
I think it will recover very nicely. There are big changes in the works for entertainment and sports.
The CSRA has done well during the recession. And beside the inner city dims, this area is very Republican. Our county center is on Ronald Regan Way. It does give great messages for the few dims in our county.
Well, I avoided the downtown area even when I lived there. I'm just not that much of a people person....at least not people concentrated in one place. I'm not into cities. Whem I lived in Augusta, it was out (is it highway 50?) south, out in the country...past Tobacco Rd. and the paper mill.
The posted article is full o'poop.
Thank God, & I mean that sincerely, the Southerners voted for President Bush. Hope they do so again!
I stand corrected. He still needs to go to Massachuetts.
Mark Gelbart is an (_0_)
Lives in the south but not from the South. I already have heard plenty, thanks. Another carpetbagger come to roost.
Yeah, we need more Communist RAT trash and less solid Americans.../s
I hope this guy doesn't play in the woods with an antler hat during deer season...
Is that you Neil Young?
What a sphincter.
Don't get me wrong. I live in the north, and I love the north. I spend my Saturday afternoons watching PBS; I enjoy true quality organic and fusion cuisine; I eat my tofu and aoili; and the people are very sophisticated. I simply disagree with them about politics. The political beliefs of liberal northerners drag this country down.
It has always been this way since World War I. Most liberals refused to take the Communist threat seriously. They derided anti-Communists as paranoids while the Ukranian famine was in full swing. And they refused to support Reagan when it came time to defeat the Soviets once and for all.
We all know what happened. The Soviet Union could not match us militarily and crumbled. Modern liberalism was founded on the defense of centralized government and "progressive" socialist programs. After decades of playing up the success of communist economics and centralized control, it fell apart in front of our eyes.
The liberals are still wrong. If it wasn't for them, William Jefferson Clinton would have had no chance of getting elected. He could rely on the liberals to vote for him in a block, and so can Kerry.
Then there is the war on terror which has been one difficult fight after another. Let's make this clear. Internationally, intelligence agencies agreed: Saddam was working towards WMD and was a threat to international security. The UN sanctions were failing and would have been stopped. Fighting a war of liberation is not a crime.
It is evident that we have a hippie traitor as a presidential candidate. Unfortunately, northnern liberals by and large support him even though his policies such as indecision on Iraq put our country at risk. Their blind disloyalty to America brings this country down.
About the dude Mark Gelbart: He's written a novel entitled Talk Radio. It has very little to do with reality, but it appeals to hate-filled liberals who want to believe the worst about right-wing alternative media.
I think the site's title sums it up pretty well.
Score: North 1 South 0
Halftime.

The eleven states of the CSA should have closed their borders long ago to the contamination of Yankees moving south. They have brought nothing but their d*mn liberal ideas and their grossly incorrect superiority complex. They should be shunned for the carpetbaggers they have always been, exploiting the South and Southerners while looking down their noses. We are sick of it.
