I read Newsmax.com LeBoutillier' column and wanted to paste an excerpt: "Message to G.W. Bush and the GOP: youre in trouble. Your opponents smell blood and are really beginning to feel they can win; this was unthinkable - even to hard-core Democrats - a year ago, even eight months ago.
And we can no longer say, Well, there is still a long way to go. There isnt; its only 100 days and Bush is declining on the economy and the Iraq campaign.
He may really need an October Surprise to win."
This is scary to me because I think he may be right. The Democrats want to win no matter what the cost.
How do you think Karl ROve is handling this?
You sneer at the Guardian, but then you recommend the article?
John LeBoutillier hopes Bush is in trouble and he wants you to hope so, too.
Anybody who posts at this site and doesn't know that LeBoutillier hates Bush with a passion hasn't been paying attention.
Where did I say I "recommend" the article ? The OP mentioned a trend of "pundits" wanting very badly to interpret polls as 'proving' Kerry's going to be the next president ; I merely provided a link to an exceptionally egregious example of such 'punditry'. As for "sneering" at the Guardian, I do not sneer at them-I despise that site from the bottom of my heart, and have since I first became aware of the (unusually hysterica) antiAmerican slant of the columnists and editorials (eg the loathsome Polly Toynbee). Sheesh....
Good grief. Could this be anymore obvious ? Surely, no rational person gives any credibility to the meanderings of an open opponent of the President. Lastly, tell me in round numbers exactly how many races George W Bush has lost with Karl Rove at the helm ? I'm waiting.....
