***Derelection Of Duty: The Networks Support The Democrats By Not Carrying The President Tonight***
Fox News | Stardate: 0405.24

Posted on 05/24/2004 5:25:51 AM PDT by The Wizard

I just heard that the networks are making an "in kind" donation to the Kerry Campaign by Not carrying the President's address.....I offer the following as a suggestion to the White House:

I would advise the networks involved that 1. they can remove their placements at the White House 2. The can recall their reporters from the daliy briefing 3. They will no longer be copied ahead of time on any speeches by the President 4. They will no longer be flying with the press corps to any battlefield locations.

Then I would give them 20 minutes to announce they are carrying the speech.

general zinni indicates??? So because one person, besides the the usual idiots, says that Iraq was contained and that there was no connection it has to be true. The islamist terrorists are in Iraq now, does any one question this, so everyone of the camel humpers that is killed there is one less that has the chance later to kill an American.

**GWB is losing the PR war.**

Heck yes, the coverage has been so one sided and so massively anti war that it is hard not to believe it. Reading crap with headlines like "US Troops Invade Karbalh" (we never "Invaded" kosovo or Waco or Ellians house) and "Iraq dead by violence greater than prewar" (based on the "Offical" morgue records) in the morning paper and after awhile even conservatives forget why we are fighting.

The media is beating us down.

Attacking Iraq has increased our vulnerability, not decreased it

You are really enamoured of your DU, ANSWER, Move On, oneliners aren't you.

Well what less should I expect from a shiller for the fifth columnists.

Desert Storm certainly ranks high in military successes but 150 deaths over four-days liberating a nation less than 1/20th the size of Iraq simply does not compare favorably to the war in Iraq to date. And let's not forget Afghanistan and the work of the troops there who've run the Taliban and Al Qieda out of power and into the ground.

If you're taking the media's word for the situation in Iraq your mind has a seriously contorted perspective. Why don't you talk with some troops who've been here?

Three dicks and a dupe.

"in my 62yrs I've never seen the likes of what is going on now"

What's going on is just a refinement of the Left's Viet Nam strategy, which is in turn a modification of the Blitzkreig strategy. Look at the tactics and in many cases the message- it's the same as the Viet Nam media strategy.

They are attempting to decapitate our leadership here in the USA by using media hysteria to discredit the leaders and demoralize the citizens to the point where they do not support the leadership.

Once this is done that have won a war regardless of the military situation. This is how we lost Viet Nam, while forcing them to sign a treaty that treated them like the losers.

The only difference between what's happening now and what happened in Viet Nam is that there are more sympathizers in the media now than there were; more channels to spread the message.

Along with that, there are more alternate channels (you are using one of them now) so the enemy must be more strident when shouting down the opposition.

"All of this" is nothing new. What is surprising is the number of people willing to go along.

Compare the Lt. Calley media stories plus the John Kerry 1971 speech before the Armed Services Comm. to the "prisoner torture" stories and you will see an identical tactic, strategy, and goal.

Walt leet his cat out of the bag with the above from his reply #50.

To Walt neo-con=vast zionist conspiracy.

Walt lives to make controversial statements. It's the only enjoyment the little fraud has in his life.

Here's a question..actually two...while I beleve the nets shoudl WANT to carry the speech..did the President make a possinle mistake by announcing that he'd be making six speecjes..one a week, until the handover in Iraq. Would that make the nets feel they would have to carry all of them?....OTOH..suppose W. makes some real news tonight...a surprise of sorts..that would force the nets to cover the next 5 speeches..

Shiseki was appointed by clinton, clark was promoted by clinton over the objections of the Army, before he was removed by clinton for undisclosed reasons, zinni was appointed to head Central Command by clinton. Do we start to see a pattern here? Swartzkopf seems to be the only one that doesn't own his final position to the most anti-military president ever. Yes, Bush made a mistake, he appointed someone he thought he could trust to an important job.
