What has happened to the quality of the political analysis that used to be such a prominent feature of FR? Do you think it's the same as it was two years ago?

It most certainly is different. Perhaps you should take a one month breather from FR and then come back to it. Some posters here have a huge emotional investment in FR, which isn't necessarily bad thing; but they appear to be incapable of accepting and/or evaluating objective criticism.

Yes, it is different. The smart people have gone away.

I am not college educated, and I learned so much from the persons who used to post.

Now, all we get is the cutsie, juvenile, jokesters who take a shower after a breaking news story.

IMO, it is different.
There used to be in depth debate, give and take, even people playing the devils' advocate when you KNEW that it wasn't thier opinion.
There isn't as much debate, the majority of people left do not go as in depth into a topic as used to be.
That isn't neccessarily JimRob's or the moderator's fault.
There are still intelligent people here. It is still the best forum on the net for news and commentary.
That doesn't mean it is as good as it was.
