Dear Dales:
I know you have retired for the night, but I wanted to make a comment anyway.
As soon as your name was "outed" as a mod back when, with the allegation that you were some wild eyed intemperate chap on a jihad to crush any dissenting opinions, I knew immediately that the allegations were BS, and someone had simply stripped some gears. You have a long posting history on this site, and I have never read anything of yours that was remotely consistent with any such characterization. I also know that if one if one attempts in good faith to be polite, honest, and thoughtful, one can post a very wide range of views on this site without any problem from the powers that be.
That has been my experience.
