9/14/2003 | ALOHA RONNIE Guyer

Posted on 09/14/2003 10:05:38 PM PDT by ALOHA RONNIE

NEVER FORGET

.."TOM McSELFISH =

...Gov. BustaMENCHA"

........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.

...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.

...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

Signed:.."ALOHA RONNIE" Guyer / Republican Convention Witness

NEVER FORGET

The astute politically informed citizen understands that a win for Arnold is still a loss of 100%

And how do you figure that? Perhaps you think yourself more astute than you actually are.

Oh yes. I can see you are an "insider" with a lot of information. Too bad it is not supported by anything other than your opinion.

What's really remarkable is that the fact that a Republcia candidate who is not a conservative is still considered viable after 1992.

It's more telling as well.

Just like liberals, the RINOs demand concessions without given any, ever, anywhere...and someone claim it as a "compromise" if it happens.

Wrong.

McClintock is as far left as conservatives are willing to go, having experienced, witnessed, and remembered how people with the philosophical guidelines Arnold follows when elected to office.

I know what MeCHa is. I was wondering if Mencha was something different, that's all.

That excerpt you posted is ridiculously written.

Who claimed McClintock was 100% conservative?

Methinks you're making it up so as to make it seem that Swartzenegger has an ounce of conservatism in his soul.

No.

It was the Republican failure to maintain a conservative candidate that elected Clinton.

It was a RINO failure. Conservatives have not changed, you guys have.

You insist on doing the same thing over and over again ad nauseum and still insist that it is the conservative who refuses to vote for a liberal that is to blame. This is not logical, nor does it reflect reality.

You engage in projectionism.

You project your logic, rather than base it on objective truth. None of them--to my knowledge--want to do this. They want to vote for a conservative as an accurate reflection of their political ideology, taken in good conscience. And they want their vote to be interpreted as part of that percentage of California which is still conservative, rather than have their vote misinterpreted as a moderate/liberal voter, which is exactly what the media will do. Don't assign negative values nor read the minds of other voters.

Deal with it.

Grow up.

If those are the only two candidates with a chance to win, conservatives might as well stay home.

Why do you want us to stay home?

You should compromise your lack of principles and choose McClintock.

BALONEY!

Moral principle trumps pragmatism EVERY SINGLE TIME. Any conservative who votes for the reprobate Ahh-nold is not a conservative but a prostitute who has sold his vote in exchange for power and other considerations. It's machiavellian and is tantamount ot moral relativism. Ahh-nold is liberal and a reprobate. I don't EVER vote for reprobates.

If all of you compromisers and liberal republicans would vote for the RIGHT MAN, instead of the one you think will beat Bustamante, McClintock would WIN! Ahh-nold is nothing but hype based on the fallacious progaganda that he is the only one who can win. Ahh-nold...Bustamante...no difference in my book! A liberal is a liberal! Tell you what - you sell your moral principles down the river, I'll stick with mine, and I'll sleep just fine!!

No, we gave you Reagan.

Give us conservatives and you win elections. Why are you guys so insistent upon running and supporting losers?

I don't really care if he is or isn't. In my opinion NO ONE is 100% anything.

Agreed. Again, the question is whether or not we recognize the difference between coasting down that road or putting the car into drive and flooring it.

Goo dluck with Governor "Busta" and every other liberal democrat that runs for office in California. If you are an example of a California Republican than you all deserve exactly what get.

No. Tom McClintock = Tom McClintock. BustaAztlan = BustaAztland. Arnold = Arnold.

Arnold needs to earn the votes to win. He's not entitled to conservative votes.(or any votes) If he losts, it's because he did not earn the votes. Period.

Same goes for McClintock.

McClintock is as far left as conservatives are willing to go ...

Wrong! Perhaps thats as far as the x-tremes will go, but I want them to take their astrick percentage and hit the door. We don't need 'em.

VOTE THE NEW REPUBLICAN PARTY - VOTE SCHWARZENEGGER

How can you say that without at least *trying* to actually SUPPORT a conservative candidate for a change?

Conservative principles are ultimately marketable anywhere in the nation outside corrupt and decrepit urban centers.

California is remarkable for it's absolute refusal to support conservatives. Even Simon, with all his problems, AS THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE couldn't get GOP RINOs to support him and with all his other problems that's all it took for him to win.

Are you so "unastute" that you do not know how the demographics have changed in California since you "gave" us Reagan.

By the way...he was a union man when he was elected Governor of California. He did not come across as conservative as he really was during the campaign. He new that the most important thing to do is get elected first.

Isn't that necessary in order to carry out your agenda?
