I suspended posting some time after ALS repetitively posted the question "Are you really a professor' after I provided a link to my CV. I also hit abuse at that stage. My reason for suspending posting were a lot more than ALS's petty harassment, however. I decided the website had become useless for the sort of discussion for which it had originally been created, and the sort of petty 'he said she said' stuff we're doing now was a waste of my time. I didn't think, and still don't think, you, or ALS, or for that matter 80% of the fundies that post on these threads, have any interest in rational discussion of issues important to conservatism. I think you're here as religious zealots to drive out the infidel. What disappoints me is that it has become quite clear that others, for whom I previously had some respect, are perfectly happy to let you do your work.

I left 6/8. I returned 6/24, when it appeared momentarily that management were dealing with the problem.

The truth is that I've been posting around FR for several years and never bothered with the infighting, UNTIL, I got fed up with the evos running rough shod over unwitting victims that simply popped in to post an opinion. They were having a field day, and why management allowed it to continue is beyond me. Having had years and years of experience in various mediums dealing with such ilk, I felt it incumbent upon me to make the "fun", the evos were having at free speech's expense, not so fun afterall.

Further validity that Vade's assertion was incorrect. Thank you. ALS posed the question to you on 6/6 (not the 8th). You clicked abuse on the 6th and continued posting for 2 days. ALS hadn't even posted to the thread "Amazing Creatures" on 6/8. He was at work when the thread was pulled. As far as I can see, it was then that you "left".
