Why would you infer that an extinct animal is a transitional form. Is that what you are saying. My grandmother is extinct, but I don't think she is a transitional form, she just died.

I would consider a transitional form to be a creature that shows a combination of 2 seperate creatures somehow merging into a new one. I really have never seen such a creature. I would expect that if it were true, we would be digging em up every day by the millions. I have yet to see even one, even one that would classify.
