Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I think we all know this.

Chuck Baldwin....any relation to Alec?
It doesn't look good for his prospects of delivering the prayer at a White House breakfast.

Right on!

Ditto, this has got to be the most obvious leftist viewpoint, disguised in fundie viewpoint crap I have ever seen!

Sad. This is what gives Christians a bad name and makes it very difficult to witness to people. To begin any kind of assessment of Bush, who
in three or four executive orders HAS DONE MORE FOR THE UNBORN/PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT THAN ANYONE IN HISTORY, INCLUDING REAGAN is itself "deceptive" and deceitful.
If Mr. Baldwin is a Christian, he should pray for forgiveness for slandering a man who has lived more like Christ than any President I can think of, including Reagan and Lincoln.

It's really pathetic that on a board that allegedly prides itself on being populated by real thinkers who enjoy discussing the truth, someone posts something like this and instantly gets hit with labels of "ridiculous" and "nutcase" and "wacko." Sickening.
If you have a problem with what the guy said, why don't you dispute his alleged facts? I have problems with Bush on some of those issues myself, and while I wouldn't have showcased them in an article like this one, he still has the right to post a well-presented set of issues without being assigned an instant litany of childish insults.
In times like these, it's hard to tell FR apart from a liberal board. They're the ones whom we lambast for not wanting to be distracted by the facts, for just sticking to the party line no matter what. What's the difference?

Excuse me, but I am a conservative Christian and consider Baldwin off his rocker.
Check out my tagline for crying out loud (though some person wrote me about it and thought it had a reference to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it does not). It is a quote from Psalm 72, well from a Metrical Psalm of that. Apparently, some people don't understand that I can say "Israel" without it having any meaning for the current conflict. As a Christian, both the OT and NT matter...but then again, few Christians actually obey the mandate of Col. 3:16 to sing PSALMS, hymns, and spiritual songs. They usually choose to just pick the last two and ignore God's holy Songbook provided in his Word.
Anyway, after that rant with no real connection to the matter at hand, I will be quiet.
