Is Bush the Antichrist?

During the eight years of Clinton's presidency, I was repeatedly asked, "Chuck, do you think Bill Clinton is the antichrist?" (Of course, I answered no.) Therefore, it is more than interesting to me that since G.W. Bush became president no one has asked if I thought he was the antichrist. Not one single person! Instead, many people attribute to Bush god-like qualities, which actually makes him a better candidate than Clinton was.
You see, one of the chief characteristics of the coming antichrist is that he appears "as an angel of light." Therefore, an obvious reprobate such as Bill Clinton is immediately disqualified. The antichrist, by very definition, is a master deceiver. He must be someone who appears as good and benevolent. The bite is in his tail not in his tongue. In reality, Bush's angelic persona makes him much more dangerous than bad boy Billy.
For example, while Clinton was in the process of appointing numerous homosexual activists to his administration, copious letters from Christian leaders such as Jerry Falwell, James Dobson, and D. James Kennedy flooded America's Christian community. Appeals for protest and resistance were heard from pulpits throughout the country. A massive media campaign began against Clinton.
Today, however, President Bush is in the process of copying Clinton's numerous appointments of open homosexuals to high positions of government, but there are no letters, no warnings from pulpits, and no media campaigns opposing it. Just the opposite. Bush is being defended, lauded, and glorified for everything he does, no matter how unconstitutional or unscriptural it might be.
When Clinton only talked of legalizing embryonic stem cell research, he was castigated and condemned. Bush actually made the procedure legal, and yet, he was praised and honored. Clinton was denigrated when he tried to convince Israel to give up land for peace. Now, Bush is in the process of actually trying to create an independent Palestinian state for Israel's enemies (with Jerusalem as its capital, no less), yet continues to receive glowing adulation. If Clinton even suggested that America's immigration laws might need to be liberalized, he was denounced in the harshest terms; but Bush can actually grant limited amnesty to thousands of illegal aliens, and there is not the faintest whisper of protest.
Do you recall how Clinton was criticized for the "low lifes" he invited to the White House? Well, Bush recently invited wild man rocker, Ozzie Osbourne, to the White House. Have you heard any notable Christian leader take Bush to task for that?
You remember Ozzie Osbourne, don't you? He is the former front man for the heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. He is famous for stage antics such as biting the heads off birds and bats. His abuse of drugs and alcohol are also well known. Furthermore, Ozzie Osbourne desecrated The Alamo by pissing all over it. In spite of this, George W. Bush is said to be one of Osbourne's biggest fans. As such, Osbourne was recently invited to the White House for dinner. Have you heard any criticism of Bush for this?
Obviously, I do not believe President Bush is the antichrist any more than I believed Bill Clinton was. However, I do believe that Bush possesses more deceptive qualities than Clinton did and, therefore, is more dangerous. I also now understand more clearly how even "the elect" can be deceived. Bush' s acceptance by the overwhelming majority of Christian people proves the country is ready for the antichrist, whoever he is.

You may be neutral, but there is a very large segment of Pres. Bush's political base who believe otherwise. They believe that the bible predicts an arch deceiver (antichrist/beast/man of sin) will gain world control at the end of human history. I am one of them.
I have noticed a lot of posts on this string that joke and make light of all this, just brush it off. They may not understand bible prophecy, but whether they do or not, if they are true conservatives they better sit up and take notice. We are talking about something here that can cause Bush to lose elections. The Republican party needs its Christian base to win.
I have been involved in bible prophecy conferences across this country. I can tell you that this article has struck a real nerve. I don't agree with the article, I think it is dead wrong. But I can tell you that many Christians across this country are, in fact, beginning to think along the lines of this article.
They have been Bush's strong supportors all along, but now with the emergence of Bush as the military strong man of the world, they are beginning to have second thoughts. They are beginning to be troubled that maybe, just maybe, he will morph into the antichrist.
Unless Bush is an unadulterated liar about his faith, he in no way fulfills the biblical antichrist predictions. One of his aliases is "the man of lawlessness," or rebellion. An apostate of the Christian faith. He will head up the antichristian rebellion of the endtime. The church in the 2nd century called him "the man of apostasy."
For this and for many other reasons, Bush does not measure up. In fact, he represents the very opposite.
Rest assured the powerful militaristic strong man that the president of the USA now represents is not going unnoticed by certain evil subversive types waiting in the wings. How they would love to have that raw power that the USA now represents!
In my opinion, the antichrist will arise out of liberalism/socialism. A political philosophy conducive to the Biblical apostasy predictions. If the economy falls to severe deflationary levels (the bursting of the stock market bubble is just in its early stages), the stage will be set for someone from the opposition party who is much more apt to fulfill the antichrist predictions.
For these reasons and a lot more we could give, I believe Christians are very wrong in thinking that Bush could be the antichrist.

Yep, Tancredo won't be running anywhere. ....and neither will any other Elephant in '04. A one-issue guy like Tancredo can get elected to the House, but he/she can never ascend to any real position of power. (And btw, I happen to agree with Tancredo on his one issue).

I have never seen a pro-Clinton post on here - what I have seen is someone - myself - ask Republicans to not be quite so blind and either question or allow others to question the President without being insulted. This I did by suggesting they change things around and see what they would have said had Clinton done the same thing President Bush has done. Would they have been silent or would they have questioned it, been outraged or what? My point is the seemingly bottomless capacity for some to accept anything and everything President Bush does and attack viciously anyone who has the temerity to question.
I have seen no one and I certainly have not said Clinton was not such a bad guy - but I am saying we need to all realize that President Bush is not perfect - he has made some mistakes. In my book, one really big one -

Agreement is
NOT the issue, dear, as you, yourself so elequantly put it.
What I am getting utterly disgusted with and weary from, is the mind numbing lack of knowledge of and about politics, that keeps cropping up on thread after thread here. At least YOU " get it " . :-)

The " Christian Right " has lost its power.
Anyone who is into Biblical prohecy and the " End Times " in particular, knows ( or should ! ) that the Anti-Christ is to be born in the Middle East ! This article and those hjhere who rant on, about this stuff, wears tinfoil ... from head to foot !

Whining that we criticized Xlinton for the same things we're giving Bush a pass for.......with the endgame being that xlinton wasn't such a bad guy after all. Boy, you had to go some to come up with that one didn't you? Now, the jist was if Clinton had done this or that you would have screamed - fact. But since Pres. Bush did it, you didn't scream and won't allow even questioning of it? What it is saying and I think most people who are not desperate to negate a very good point is that a bad thing is a bad thing - no matter who does it. It is just strange that the reaction is not the same in both cases.

mind numbing lack of knowledge of and about politics Ah, I see you must've stumbled upon the hilarious "Bush will pick Lieberman as his VP" vanity post. LOL....was that something else?
Does Chuck Baldwin have any marks on his head?
To: Mr. Mojo
It doesn't really matter to a whole lot of people if Tancredo runs or not. He represents a protest vote, and it may be pretty shocking how many end up writing him in or another Republican.
I don't think I can vote for Bush unless he does two things, he must do the Constitutional thing on the assult weapons ban, and he must make some statement that reveals a change of heart on his globalist thinking that open borders from the north of Canada to the tip of Cape Horn is a bang up idea.
I may go weak kneed when confronted with the possibility of a vile Democrat in office, but if it looks like a shoe in for Bush and he continues to do as poorly as he did pre 9-11 I will write in a protest vote. I sincerely do not believe it is a good idea to reward the Republican Party for leftward moves. They need a warning slap up side the head from conservatives.
To: hellinahandcart
First of all it's not true. That's all I hear on some days, not whispers but roars of protest. Immigration is one of Bush's weaker issues. Strangely, there are equally loud issues from the left whenever this administration takes the tiniest baby steps toward tightening up the borders or deporting anyone at all. This is the most hopeful thing I have heard. Where has there been protests, other than places like FR and some, maybe just one, talk radio show? I will confess I don't watch TV - just listen a little to talk radio and read on this and another site. I haven't seen any loud nationwide protesting of this. I really would like to believe it. Could you tell me where to find this? I am not be confrontational - I want to find it. I know the people, according to the polls, want something done - but I just don't hear anything on a nationwide level, except Tancredo. I would even subscribe to get to read an article now and then in a national paper.

Don't worry yourself about the AWB. There's no way that thing will make it out of committee and onto the floor of the House. Bush will never see it.
When you see Hillary or another vile Rat opposite Bush on the ballot, you'll get weak-kneed ;)
To: Mr. Mojo
Nailed in one ! :-)
I was gasping for air, over that and this one. I really must stop reading drivel.
To: Joy Angela
I don't know if we are ready for anything anymore. America is tired of being the pin cushion for every foreign country's sake. We need to bring our soldiers home and put them on our borders to prevent more 9-11's from happenning. As for Hillary, I view her as the sworn enemy of the U.S.

"Is Bush the Antichrist?" Is Bush Jewish? Is that supposed to mean something?

Is the Antichrist supposed to be Jewish? If so, I nominate ....Diane Feinstein.
To: MatthewViti
A ridiculously provocative title, and an equally absurd conclusion:
...Bush' s acceptance by the overwhelming majority of Christian people proves the country is ready for the antichrist, whoever he is...
I thought Chuck Baldwin was supposed to be a big name conservative, Stateside? If he keeps this rubbish coming he'll shred his cred, toute suite.

" Warning slap " ? All that does, if enough politicals naifs follow your lead, is to guarentee a Dem victory. You and your
dog in the manger ilk, just don't " get it " and, it appears that you never will.
The " weapons " thingy, that has so many here all unglued, is NOT reality. It's finger in the the air propaganda, put out by lefties, to peel hysterics away from helping to re-elect President Bush.
As for the tinfoil " globalist " garbage, you're just repeating the GREEN party line; being a " useful idiot " for a group of people you should loathe, as a Conservative.

Bill Clinton has the ability to suck-up admiration from Nation Leaders and Communist Regimes world wide.
If you are saying that Bill Clinton is Thee Anti-Christ in waiting, so to speak, I don't necessarily disagree as I don't know. One thing the Scriptures are very clear about Thee Anti-Christ is that he will have great spiritual power from Satan. That would take decades to cultivate and possibly even a family history of it. I've heard many charges against Clinton but not this. Another thing, Bill Clinton has not deceived Christians whereas the Anti-Christ will (not all but most).
