Was this the same guy that was on Hannity and Colmes? If I remember correctly he did have a license for the gun in Florida and he had filed paper work already for the license in NY. It sounds like to me that he did all the right things.. What is he supposed to do? They should have a law that gives a grace period for people moving to the state.

You don't need any license to own a gun in Florida. You need a CCW if you want to carry concealed, that's all.
