When being mindlessly insulted, I always use the adage, "Consider the source."

An insult from one as unpleasant and miserable as Freddy, is a high honor, indeed.

In fact, I think I'd be afraid if he started to like me. It would make me wonder what I was doing wrong.

You might be interested in knowing that I have never done or said anything to this poor old man, except in response to his out of the blue, beyond nasty insults to me. He's a sad one, IMO.
