Off topic of this thread, but I was taken with your discussion on the Winnie Mandela thread about "The Stand" and don't know if you saw my reply to you, quoting from the book.

Remember the WEASELS used by the Walking Dude in Nebraska to frighten Mother Abagail? And then when Trashcan Man goes through Nebraska he is repelled by the aura of goodness he senses there and dreams he turns into a WEASEL?

(I was thinking "weasels" as it relates to the all-popular term "Axis of Weasels" and the war, but the term popped in my mind just now for some reason...)

Anyway, I love "The Stand".

No, I hadn't paid attention...had a grandson here today who was sick and was only on intermittently.
