Had Bill Clinton (or AlGore) appointed six known homosexuals to positions (and dumped the one on the AIDS panel who wasn't), would you have called him conservative? Had Bill Clinton raised spending on education, medicare, and the budget as a whole, would you have called him conservative? Had Bill Clinton supported closing the gun show "loophole", would you have called him conservative? Had Bill Clinton supported a man who had large holdings in an abortion provider for Speaker of the House, would you have considered him conservative? If Bill Clinton had relegated embryos as only having "POTENTIAL for life", would you have thought him a conservative? If Bill Clinton had tried to give Social Security to Mexicans, would you have called him conservative? If Clinton had the open-ended ability to declare war on who he wanted, when he wanted (with no determination of victory, or end), would you call that conservative?

But GWB does all these things, and much more, yet he is somehow still labeled a conservative. What is your definition of conservative?

I wonder why we're ignoring Saudi Arabi when all but a couple of the WTC bombers were Saudis? I wonder why we suddenly stopped demonizing Osama and started re-demonizing Saddam? I wonder why we agreed to let Syria (on our State Dep't list as a terrorist nation) on the UN Security Council just in time to help us fight this war on terror. In fact the UN SC looks like a list of "Terrorist R Us".

I'm for defending our nation, but I think this war on terrorism is more phony than professional wrestling.
