You believe Washington to be a libertarian caveman?

Quite the opposite. He quashed the Whiskey Rebellion with force and preserved the law.

And I'm sure that he ran on that record too, right?

Yes, Linder stressed the fact that he was an incumbent with a well established record. How could you be so clueless?

"Some will, some won't; why should we believe all will?"

Because I read it in a newspaper while sitting in my kitchen, that's why.

Even my 13-year-old son no longer thinks retorts like that are clever.

And our nation has determined that the illicit drug trade is injurious to our society.

[According to the testimony...]
Those words are nowhere in the article that you linked. You even used what was in the article...
"...testified that he wrote Rosenthal bad checks for his plants..."
I don't see "According to testimony" anywhere in that article.
Are you ever right about anything?
Yes, but I don't think I'll be able to convince you that you're ever wrong about anything. GOD ROSCOE!
Do you always refuse to answer questions with independent thought?

When was that determined and upon what information was that determination made?

Again?

This title may be cited as the 'Controlled Substances Act'.

§ 801. Congressional findings and declarations: controlled substances.

The Congress makes the following findings and declarations:

The article has Linder's campaign manager Bo Harmon stating, "He's not moderated his stance at all. He opposes the legalization of drugs, including medical marijuana. He's flat out opposed to medical use."

Looks like your crowing about Barr's defeat was as ill-informed as usual.

CSA cut-n-paste coming up!
If Roscoe does use that then he is wrong. There were precedents well before the enactment of the CSA.
PHYSICIANS MANUAL--INFORMATIONAL OUTLINE of the Controlled Substance Act of 1970
Since 1914, the Congress has enacted more than 50 pieces of legislation relating to control and diversion of drugs. The Controlled Substances Act of 1970 became effective May 1, t971. It collects and conforms most of these diverse laws into one piece of legislation. The law is designed to improve the administration and regulation of manufacturing, distribution, and the dispensing of controlled substances by providing a 'closed" system for legitimate handlers of these drugs. Such a closed system should help reduce the widespread diversion of these substances out of legitimate channels that find their way into the illicit market.
Got to go back to the beginning.

Please read the article I posted in response to your Post 450. It looks like Linder played his cards just right. Appears he voted for medical MJ as a GA Congressman. It appears that he used the Libertarian Party's campaign against Barr to his advantage, including saying all the right things to Insight magazine. You better do some research before pointing your finger at us "ignorant" and "clueless" liberdopians.

Oh I'm really going to love watching you try to worm out of this one! Your CSA cut-n-paste ain't gonna "cut it".
Read that again and go back to the beginning.
When was that determined and upon what information was that determination made?
That determination was made well before 1970 wasn't it?

Please read the article

OK

Citing Linder's request that the LP butt out and not "interfere" in the primary, Linder campaign manager Bo Harmon acknowledged the Libertarians' right to do as they choose. He figured the ads might "play a small roll in overall public awareness, but I don't see a whole lot of impact."

Linder has not expressed any implicit gratitude to the LP by diluting his own harsh views on medicinal pot.
