I'm pinging amore cuz she works in the appellate system..would like her opinion too. The possibility of a small percentage of death row inmates being innocent is in my opinion a good argument against the death penalty. But for those who are truly guilty.....by removing the death penalty..would that actually give them a chance at being set free? What are the guarantees of keeping them locked up?

Doesn't that depend on if the state has Life With Out Parole? We have Life but it's like a 40 year sentence. Death here, is literally death. Sometimes it is commuted to life, but rarely. There is some talk about LWOP.
