If I may, I'd like to add a few Scripture quotes to magnify these points you made at #2323:
Why couldn't God make things more obvious? ... Because there is something valuable, something holy in the struggle. We are given sufficient evidence, not coercive evidence.
Matthew 13:10-13 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
And in John 10:24-27 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Thank you for the Scripture and forgive my delay in responding.
I would add these as well:
John 1:5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Romans 3:3 - What if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make...God without effect?
