They will have poor in Mexico, and most other places as far as that goes. The more he rids himself of them, the more will replace them, thus starting the cycle all over again.

You hit the nail on the head with that one. My objection to this is somehow Fox sees the US as being responsible for those he wants to get rid of; I don't see it that way, and much of the country is beginning to view this as a growing problem, too.

Here in the Midwest we do not have the same problems as those in the border states, but I cannot understand how these affected residents can continue to fund everything from cradle to grave, if the immigrants continue to come in at the same level. Many elderly have to do without many of the services handed out to the illegals, and this is wrong; our own citizens, particularly the ones who've paid taxes for their adult working lives should be given what they need first.

If Pres Bush is trying to gain voters from the Hispanic community, I think he should be more concerned about losing the loyal Republican voters over this immigration mess.
