Not to mention that this map only shows those here legally that weren't afraid to report to the census!!! Here in California they are taking over everything. Anyone who has to live in affordable housing would have to live with the graffiti and the gangs and the crime. Everything you get in the mail is written more in Spanish than English.

I will say I am a true Republican and love President Bush. BUT, if they don't do something about the border and the illegal one's already here, I'm willing to switch to the other party or to someone who will get the job done. If no one wants to do it I will NOT vote for any of them. I will just have to get out of here and head for a state that has no red or pink on the map and hope it stays that way.

Very true. I'm a single woman, and I've gotten along fine with my little office job and one-bedroom apartment. Now my neighborhood has turned into a barrio, with the graffiti, gangs and crime, but I can't get out because rents in halfway decent neighborhoods are over $1,000 a month. I can't afford that. The illegals can get around the high rent by crowding numerous people into one apartment. But most Americans don't want to live that way. So what do we do?

WE made that move a year ago friend to Ohio, but they are coming here too. And before anyone tries to call me biased against Mexicans--talk to me after you've heard some of their slams on their host "Americanos". Many have disdain for this country and it's people. Sad, but true.
I know what you mean though about the housing situation. In Phoenix, the west side resembles a Mexican bordertown. Homes that were once nice ranches built in the 50's, now look like shanties. These folks live as if you can't walk a block and buy your chicken out of the case, they have them squalking in the backyard of a 1/4 acre lot. Aah, well, I don't know there is much else we can do. All most Americans are asking for is a slow down of this influx, to not pay via welfare programs for the new immigrants upkeep, and that they be encouraged to assimilate, not discouraged.
