I realize after I posted that how it sounded. I am concerned about illegal immigration, too. But someone running a legit business like a grocery store, I don't have a problem with. I assume they're paying property taxes, etc.
I wouldn't care if I knew the store was run by legal immigrants and that the first thing they learned to do when they arrived was learn to speak English. I can't tell you how many times I have been in a business recently where the workers they have don't speak English. I can't tell if they are legal or illegal, but I will assume they are illegal and should be sent back where they came from, if they can't bother to learn English.
Indpls and Indiana are changing fast, and I don't know anyone that likes the direction it's going......
I can't tell if they are legal or illegal, but I will assume they are illegal and should be sent back where they came from, if they can't bother to learn English. If they are illegal, they should be sent back no matter if they are British and learned to speak English on their mother's lap.
If they are legal, they can speak in tongues if they wish. It's a free country. (For those who are here legally and obey our laws.)
In Eddie Rickenbacker's (America's top scoring World War One ace) biography, he tells of how German was spoken in his home when he was a child and how he had problems speaking English well during his early school years. This resulted in daily fights on his way home from school.
