Rn, 1 Jn 5:7-8 needs to be in your repertoire for trinitarian discussions with mormons.
This is in the KJV, but not others. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
I'm sure the answer of the textual critics will be that this is text was too good to be true. Nonetheless, the TR went with it.

It is a good verse for that. But, is it translated correctly?

"I'm sure the answer of the textual critics will be that this is text was too good to be true" And far to old, too! - It happens to be in 2 of the seven oldest pieces of manuscripts in existance, dating to approx 120 AD.

By the way, as for the Mormons, Smith did some revising of the King James and kept 1Jn.5:7 in!
