Liberteens come, and Liberteens go. But they seem to have an awful time with their own (and biggest - maybe only) issue - pot.
As far as anyone can tell, not ONE person has been placed behind bars for smoking pot. But the Liberteens paint an entirely different picture. They claim that HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS are behind bars for smoking.
Can anyone provide any proof either way?
Not automatically, but you could be because that would be evidence of marijuana use. People who flunk urine tests because of smoking mj have their parole revoked, and go back to jail because of it. As far as that goes, people who have a blood test that shows mj use who were involved in a traffic accident will be arrested for "driving while impaired" or some such charge, depending on how their state words it.
No, that was the question. I'm still waiting for an answer.
Got one?
Yes - the answer to the question - Has ANYONE ever been imprisoned for smoking pot?
Got one?
Is that what you do all day?
You can walk there loaded and buy all the twinkies you want w/out fear of sentencing.
Not if you're a goober. (Or is that kinda redundant?)
The only thing I would even attempt to explain to Zon and Stew is why I even bother responding to your nonsense.
Not to worry. I told LL over on the thread he migrated from to start this thread, that as far as I know there are no laws against the smoking marijuana. Of course, in my original post on this thread (19) I said the same thing.
And the "poor doper-victim" argument watzes in, a prelude to the liberal Democrat multi-billion dollar nanny government, "kill 'em with kindness, free medical care, plenty of marijuana 'medicine,' and supplemental special security" policies.
What are you smoking that you didnt get what I said? You entirely misunderstood what I was saying. Ill try to talk in single syllables so you can follow.
There was a couple in Louisiana, they sold their 100 acres or so to some guy and expected the payments to provide for their retirement. This idiot started growing and dealing and whatever and when *he* got busted, their land, which they still owned and wasnt paid off yet, was confiscated by law enforcement. They were totally innocent. The only concern of law enforcement was the resources they could steal to enhance their own situation. There was no concern for justice.
The rest of this paragraph is totally off base. I dont believe that one cent of my federal tax dollars should go to any socialist, redistribution of wealth. I wasnt saying, provide them with dope I was saying, Instead of wasting resources stopping spoiled little brats of movie directors from killing themselves shooting heroin, doing crack, burning out on meth, let them die, and put your resources into finding rapists, stopping drunk drivers and arresting burglars, who do far more damage than a bunch of drugged out wackos do any day.
The only resources Im willing to provide is to scrape them up from the sidewalks before the kids go to school in the morning so they wont spread disease. Call it what you will ("socialism" fits). Just don't call it libertarianism.
You werent paying attention, were you. I said I wasnt a Libertarian. I am not a socialist. I am pure Capitalist. BTW, should taxpayers be made to provide these poor victimized dolts with reparations? A lot of libertarians believe so. Do you?
Reparations? No taxpayers shouldnt be made to provide reparations, let Nature provide the reparations.
You post family reunion shots of outhouses yet fail to explain anything. Why is that?
The original question was - Has ANYONE ever been imprisoned for smoking pot?
Got some input?
Gee wiz Sherlock, I can play your semantic game. Why yes, somewhere in the world a person has been imprisoned for smoking marijuana.
Oh, you didn't mean the whole world, just United States.
"Runaway now little man", the peasant said to the king.
Then your twinkies might not make it home.
The thought that obsesses me lately is,
How do we get our country back?
How do we get it back, before it is too late?
I want to die a free man, like my fore fathers.
Tax Freedom day is mid-May, I am nearly half slave already!
