It's because this Country's leaders have dragged us into gazillions of places all across the globe and intervened where we had NO business being and this includes everywhere from Somolia to Israel to Iraq to Kosovo to Vietnam to (pick your war/conflict/country/police action/UN 'peace'-keeping mission). Unfortunately, you are totally correct. However, it's too late for us to run and hide. We either stand and fight now or suffer more and more losses. It's a horrible situation all around.
