It is accurate. I was RIFed because of troop strength reductions. Not my idea, as I was extremely gung-ho at the time.

I did, however, sign up when "things were hot". Those who have served garner my highest respect. It is, however, difficult to believe that someone who has served would disregard the very ediface for which they served.

I was released from active duty. My training was complete. A lot of money thrown down the toilet that year, as "they got" 95% of those commissioned that year.
