I humbly submit that divine intervention does happen in our lives if we are not to arrogant to recognize it.

Agreed. A saying I have heard: "God answers our prayers, in his time and way. The answer may be 'Yes', or 'No' or 'I have a better idea.'"

We are usually not very good at listening, and at accepting the answer, whatever it is. (Human imperfection)

Recognizing this, a good, simple, humble prayer: "Thy will be done, not mine."
