Pregnant women are filming themselves taking Tylenol in defiance against Donald Trump's shaky claim the painkiller causes autism in children.
The president announced that doctors in the US will begin advising expectant mothers against taking the drug because of an apparent link.
Trump, 79, claimed that taking Tylenol 'is no good', adding that pregnant women should 'fight like hell' to avoid taking it, except for in cases of extreme fever.
Several moms have gone viral on TikTok for posting videos of themselves taking Tylenol in protest.
'Here's me, a PREGNANT woman, taking TYLENOL because I believe in science and not someone who has no medical background,' one mom called Grace wrote over a video of herself taking the pill and dancing.
'Quit believing everything you see and hear,' she wrote in the caption for the video, which racked up almost 30,000 likes and 305,000 views in just 17 hours.
Several studies have linked Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, to higher rates of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
However, the findings have not often been consistent and many doctors say it is completely safe, and even recommended, because high fevers during pregnancy can harm the mother and child.
Calley Means, an advisor to RFK Jr, shared several videos of moms taking part in the Tylenol video trend on X with the comment: 'No words'.
'Democrats are now chugging bottles of Tylenol on TikTok,' Means wrote as he shared his exasperation to his social media following.
Another mom-to-be named Natalie wrote on TikTok: 'About to take Tylenol for my headache while pregnant, because I don't take my medical advice from a man who doesn't have a degree in science, healthcare, or medicine, and who had a parasitic brain infection.

I'm a 78 year old woman. I take extra-strength Tylenol at bedtime to help with my arthritis pain, along with leg and feet neuropathy symptoms, so I can sleep all the way through the night. I have other long-term health issues that I have taken meds for years to treat, such as a non-differential connective-tissue disorder, hypothyroidism, acid reflux/GERD, high blood pressure, Cholesterol, Type II diabetes for over 25 years which I still treat with oral meds. I have blood tests every 6 months which tests my A1C, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel which includes liver tests, Lipid Panel, Thyroxine T4, Microalbumin/Creat Ratio, TSH, and CBC. My blood tests including those for the liver have all been normal.
No one should take supplements on their own until they talk to their doctor. Concocting a mixture of supplements yourself isn't conducive to good health unless your blood is regularly monitored. You could actually be causing more harm than good taking supplement combos. Too much or too little of certain electrolytes like potassium, magnesium, etc. can be harmful. It's in my medical record that I take two Tylenol Extra Strength at night, and my doctor has no problem with it because even with taking Pravastatin every night for probably 30+ years my liver tests are normal.
By the way, I was the baby of the family born in 1947. My siblings were born from 1940-1944. Everyone in my family, parents included smoked. My parents and second oldest sister died of lung cancer. Mother and sister were 69. Father was 73. My only brother died of a massive heart attack at 51. My oldest sister outlived all of them to the age of 74, and that was only because she was an alcoholic who suffered from alcohol-induced dementia, and was institutionalized most of her adult life. Had she been thrown on the street to fend for herself, she never would have lived that long. She died in 2013. I firmly believe that because I was the baby, despite having my own batch of health issues none of them suffered from, I benefited greatly from the medical technology that has come since they all passed.

This type of arrogant behavior could lead to overdose to prove a point. Acetaminophen toxicity is the second most common cause of liver transplantation worldwide and the most common cause of liver failure in the United States.
Someday we are going to see a video of a sobbing woman grieving that her child is so damaged. She’ll blame Trump because, you know, he said it was BAD, you know, and it’s his fault for MAKING her make that video taking Tylenol back when she was pregnant. Now who’s going to pay for the life-long medical care her childs needs, you know.

The overuse of Tylenol causing liver and other organ problems is well documented... That being said... Nothing controls your health more than your genes. We’re all on the same road, but the length of that road relies on getting the good genes passed down to you.
You can do all the exercises and all the healthy living you want... Write a book about Running and die at 52 like Jim Fixx did of a heart attack ... Or you can smoke, drink and generally party your entire life and die at 99, like my aunt did.
My mother died at 88 from breast cancer and she had three sisters (who all had breast cancer too) who died in their 90s... Their brother died in his fifties from lung cancer. My father died at 87... He had prostate, urinary tract, bowl cancer and type 2 diabetes... And still made it to 87. But my own sister died at 77 from urinary tract cancer. I blame the poor care from her doctors... She could’ve lived longer.
But life’s a gamble that you’ll always eventually lose... You’ve done very well so far and I can only hope that I can do the same. I’m on pills for type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol... And you can only hope and pray that they help... But I have relatives who lived in the 19th century before they knew what type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol was... And they managed to live into the 80’s without any pills... Good genes will take you a very long way, with or without pills.
