It has taken three years, but Europe is at last putting its collective economy on an industrial war footing. The sums of money are eye-watering. […]
“It is becoming obvious to everybody that defense spending is the way to offset job losses in the car industry,” said Holger Schmieding, the chief economist at Berenberg Bank. […]
If enacted on anything close to this scale, such a high-octane blast of military Keynesianism will entirely change the economic and geopolitical shape of the world. It is the coming boom in Europe that we should all be betting on.
Bavaria’s premier Markus Söder is the weather-vane of our times, leading the call for a full-blown revival of German military power along with a joint nuclear deterrent in concert with France and the UK.
“We need a drone force of 100,000 drones, 800 new tanks, 2,000 Patriot missiles and 1,000 Taurus just for Germany as a protective shield like the ‘Iron Dome’. Only the strong will be taken seriously,” he said. […]
The coalition of the willing will have to rearm mostly outside the EU structure given the vetoes of Hungary and the Russophile bloc.
Joint debt issuance is needed to shield high-debt states from a bond market attack but this can be done through a new agency akin to development banks, and should include the UK, Norway and Canada. …

Steal away!
The amount of time is relative!
People who want the whites to survive support the return of of the ability for them to fight.
“500 million Europeans are asking 300 million Americans to defend them against 140 million Russians. [...] Europe today lacks the belief that we are truly a global force.”All the rest of the noise is about spending money. Until the EU's "member-states" will dispatch their troops well provisioned with war materiel, the whole of this is a game of posturing, and going further into debt.Polish PM Donald Tusk, speaking before his flight to London for the European Ukraine summit:
We need to stay well outside of the European elite's fantasy.
Now that it appears the European nations will rearm how many decades before they’re killing each other again?
Still laughing about it. It’s a -perfect- word for them and how the Euro leaders see them.
Each other? Last two wars they were focused on those outside the continent.
We did not intrude into it last time(s). It was the other way around.
One thing that ought to be considered is if any other country really should act like the policeman of the world. Of course, if we must, then we ought to be supported by those we police.
And what with Europe and Russia playing nice behind the scenes, this is history repeating itself.
There was a German guy on X that said something like this:
“All of the EU is calling on us to build a huge army, march through Poland and fight the Russians? Let me write this down so there are no misunderstandings later.”
When your enemy is among you it makes the fight up close and personal. War becomes a bloody affair, and not just for the soldier in the field, but for everyone..
Just remember that it’s the EU that wants NATO gone, really. They’ve said as much.
America has pushed for European rearmament, and that is what they are getting. And unfortunately, the way Trump and his fan base are behaving, some of that will need to be used as a counterweight to the US as well as a deterrent to Russia. Trump has is turning America into a liability to European security.
I’m sure Putin and Xi are delighted by what their puppet and the useful idiots who support him are doing destroying America’s alliances and reducing it to a global pariah despised by its erstwhile allies and no longer able to lead and influence the world like it once did.
That's not news to US.
They're just not used to bearing the cost themselves.
“They are doing exactly what Trump told them to do. What’s the problem?”
FR’s doom and gloom neurotics will ferret out the negative on anything, including Trump initiatives. It’s part of their running-around-like-chickens-with their-heads-cut-off orthodoxy.
Oh, they want to get used to it. That way, the US has no oversight and they can reverse everything that WWII was fought for.
Yeah....and nobody even brings up the EU and its lack of regard for freedom, corrupt politicians, centralized planning, etc., etc..
What could go wrong?
“They’re just not used to bearing the cost themselves.”
But when they are bearing the costs, you will hate them with even greater rage. Based on responses here.
Projection is a fascinating phenomena.
Thanks for revealing what’s in your heart.
Go to hell johnBolton!
