I agree. Push button starting is a nuisance. I can never figure out how to simply turn on accessory mode and not start the vehicle. Never had that problem with a key ignition.
I see this happening a lot more with all this ridiculous touch screen attention sapping interfaces standard in cars now.

We just bought our first car with push button start and I recently realized that I have no idea how to turn it on in accessory mode without starting the engine. Annoying that I need to look up something I’ve been doing my entire four-decades as a driver!
Don’t press the brake when you push the start button. The car will activate accessory mode.
