Our daughter is a kooky lib, but we know political conversations lead to fights, so we have a tacit agreement that politics is out of bounds. It keeps good peace and love.
My wife had a good friend like the kook in this video. When Trump was inaugurated, she went full “Resist” pussy hats, marches, parades and all. She kept pestering my wife to join the “movement” and would not take many hints and direct responses from my wife: “NO! Stop asking me. Stop pestering me.” She wouldn’t take the hint and that was the end of that friendship. They haven’t spoken since January 2016, but no big loss. My wife’s a very friendly person and made lots of new friends in North Idaho after we bought our place there in 2018.

Are you planning on leaving your estate to your family liberal? I always remind people that their liberal children will probably give away the money saved by double-couponing, conservative parents. Many complain about their kids but when push comes to shove, they find the idea of a managed trust or generation-skipping trust cruel.

I do a lot of driving and listen to a lot of podcasts and YouTube videos.
Used to be kind of fun to listen to these whiners complaining about men, Trump…., now I see it as tragic
I think the tipping point was a video of a woman complaining that no one would stop to help her on the side of the road with a vehicle problem
She was under her car crying about it.
Here’s the thing, she set up her phone to record herself under the car and then posted it. That is bat shit crazy
And the videos of women in their cars recording themselves having meltdowns is unending.

I dearly love my baby sister, but she's similarly liberal in her beliefs. I've learned to steer clear of any politics, and if it comes up, I immediately change the subject. For example:
Baby sister: "I'm SO disappointed that he missed Trump's head!"Me: "SO...how's the weather by you?"
I had a friend like that.
We could trace our friendship back to the 8th grade (early 60’s!), and, though we could disagree on many subjects, TDS got the better of our friendship.
She was SUPPOSED to call me on July 14th....and never did.
Probably because her vile anti-Trump remarks finally bore its bitter fruit the night before in Butler PA.
We haven’t spoken since.
