I was a volunteer in the intermediate care nursery at the children’s hospital in Winston Salem long ago. There was an infant who resembled this one and I think the condition was called Hurler’s syndrome? That child was basically nonfunctional though so far as reactions to any stimuli. It was very sad as I don’t think his life expectancy was very long.
