Could it be the dog senses that the SS agents don’t really like Biden?
That may be, but a friend of mine whose father has bred GSD for decades said “as a GSD parent, I have a theory about this... My thought is Joe Biden is way worse off than they’re wanting to tell us, so his dog is seeing everything and everyone as a threat, so it’s doing what it’s been bred to do — protect its human. The dog probably senses Joe isn’t capable of protecting himself, and Joe isn’t giving the dog the proper cues to let him know the SS agents are friendlies — that’s on him...
“I say this because of my dog Frigg’s total personality switched when I was injured... Prior to my spine totally going to shit, she was a happy-go-lucky GSD, great with humans and other dogs. When my spine finally shit the bed, and I needed medication then surgery, she became very protective of me, she’d try to walk ahead of me to protect me from what she perceived as threats, she didn’t behave this way with anyone else in the house, only me... Now the difference was that I gave her cues to let her know when strangers were friendly by greeting them in an overly friendly manner, so she’d understand, and then she’d go back to her friendly, goofball self.
“As I got better, so has she, she still isn’t great with other dogs, but she does follow my lead... In Joe’s case, he probably isn’t getting better, so the dog will only become even more protective as his condition (whatever it may be) gets worse.”
My personal opinion is that Commander was never properly trained, and he’s picking up on Joe’s hatred of his SS detail, and the dog seems them as the “enemy”.
I started having episodes almost a year ago were I would feel numbness, a wave of nausea, and would collapse. Sometimes I would pass out completely, sometimes my diaphragm would seize and I would stop breathing, sometimes I would lay there helpless unable to speak or move.
My animals (cat and dog) always reacted when it happened.
The dog would bark like crazy and start licking my face, arms, and legs. The cat would headbutt me and rub up against me.
Even during the recovery phase, they would both lay right next to me on the floor, one on either side.
During one about a week ago, my dog went from barking to growling at family members (the same nuclear family that lived with this pup every day, loved on him, and spoiled him rotten).
You may be on to something there. My pup could tell I was in distress and wanted to protect me.
